Novotel Maastricht offers excellent accommodation, suitable for business travellers as well as a tourist trip with your partner or your family. Besides a restaurant with a view over the garden and the heated outside pool the hotel also houses a play area, bike rental and a free shuttle bus to the beautiful city centre of Maastricht.

You are more than welcome in Novotel Maastricht, which has a lot to offer for both a business or a tourist trip. You can rent a bike to explore Maastricht and its surroundings, there is a computer with Internet in the lobby and for your relaxation you can jump in the heated outdoor swimming pool (open from May until September, depending on the weather). Some of the other amenities in the hotel include a dry-cleaning and ironing service, a shoe polishing machine, and a money exchange for various currencies. For business meetings and receptions there are nine conference rooms with a total surface of 300m². The largest room can house up to 150 people.

When you are planning a fun trip with your family, the slogan 'Kids For Free!' will certainly appeal to you: two children up to 16 years old can stay for free in their parents' room and enjoy a free breakfast in the morning. Children simply can not get bored here. They can play Nintendo computer games, there are play areas both inside and outside and of course there is the heated outside swimming pool.

The location of Novotel Maastricht on the south-west side of the city is ideal. By car you can reach the hotel swiftly from the A2 and the E25 and hotel guests can park for free at the hotel. From Maastricht railway station you can reach the hotel in about 10 minutes by city bus. On top of that there is a free shuttle bus service that will bring you from the hotel to the city centre of Maastricht, the Central Station Maastricht or to the MECC (Maastricht exposition and congress centre). From the hotel there is direct connection to Maastricht-Aachen Airport and cities such as Liège, Eindhoven, Aachen and Hasselt.

Food and Drinks

Every morning there is an extensive breakfast buffet. From Monday to Friday it is served between 06:30 and 10:00 h. and between 07:00 and 11:30 h. during the weekend.
In the hotel you can enjoy lovely dishes in restaurant 'Côté Jardin', which overlooks the hotel's garden and the swimming pool. The menu mainly offers dishes from the French cuisine and there is a children's menu. When the weather permits it is also optional to eat on the terrace outside. Smoking is not allowed in the restaurant. The restaurant is open from 06:30 to 22:00 h. During the weekend it is closed at lunch time. For snacks you can go to 'Le Bar', which is open from 06:30 to 00:30 h.

The hotel has wireless Internet (WiFi). At the reception you can get information about the costs. At the business table in the lobby you can make free use of Internet with your own laptop.

Surroundings

With the free shuttle bus of Novotel Maastricht you canl reach the city centre, the Central Station Maastricht or the MECC in no time. Maastricht is known for its history and culture and that shows from the beautiful historic buildings, the ancient defence works and from the Roman churches such as the 'Onze LieveVrouwbasiliek' and the 'Basiliek van St. Servaas'. During a stroll in the centre you will find an abundance of boutiques, galleries and antique shops. The neighbourhoods 'Ceramique' and 'Wijck' are also definitely worth a visit. These areas house attractions such as the cultural meeting point 'Centre Ceramique', the 'Bonnefantenmuseum' (modern art), fun shopping streets and several renowned restaurants. Some of the options for a day out with your family include the caves under the 'St. Pieter' and the 'Drielandenpunt' (point where The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet) in Vaals, where young (and older) children can spend hours finding their way out of the 'Drielanden' labyrinth.

poor service: a real disapointment

Mini bus service/soccer table for the kids.

The resturant service was probably the worst experience I have had ever. I had to ask several times for my children to obtain a simple bread roll. After 40 minutes I had to raise my voice just to get the bread roll which was a real disapointment. I felt that the service was inflexible as it seemed to only deal with one table at a time (the whole "experience took over 2 hours).

I am unhappy about paying for using the internet in the hotel. I think it must be limited (ex. 1 hour a day or 1 gb) but free for the customers. Also, towels in our room were not clean enough.

The fact that there wasn't a line of people at the checkout desk to lengthen any more the urgent desire to check out of this (beep) place.

This idea that some European hotels have of placing the toilet in a cramped "separate" room may be a bright idea to SOME people but, not only does it "amplify" all bodily noises but make for a cold non-relaxing enviornment to due ones "business". Then, the bar service is really no service at all. The person who supposed to be there, attending bar was continuously leaving his area and wasn't were he was supposed to be. As to providing any munchies, you know peanuts or something, not unless you specifically asked for something...basically no desire to please, so no tip. Lastly, the hotel is located near a series of highway switchbacks and in an area that's some kind of nomansland, i.e. God forsaken place, only intended for businessmen who much rather have their faces stuck looking at an electronic gadget of sorts than looking outside to see what the weather is like.

I've liked much the new rooms, it's modern furniture. Staffwas friendly, it was great to have an' outside pool, and shuttle service was good too.

On my opinion it's better to have 2 chairs in a room instead of one, but that still didn't cause me any serious inconveniences. And, probably, cups in the room were good for coffee, but too small for tea.

voor ons doel: carnaval vieren in Maastricht, was dit een prima plek

personeel is behulpzaam, vriendelijk en correct. We werden meteen geholpen toen we problemen met de kluis hadden. Prettig dat het raam open kan. Ligging t.o.v. centrum is gunstig. loopafstand.

wij hadden een extra bed op de kamer. Daar lag een deken op met vieze plekken erin. Comfort was minder op de slaapbank. Volgens de bevestiging zou het verschuldigde bedrag bij aankomst in het hotel betaald kunnen worden, dit was echter al voor aankomst via de creditcard afgeschreven.

Freundliche Reception, gelungenes Baddesign, nettes Zimmer, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis.

Durch Internetprobleme des Hotels laut Reception Anmeldung nicht erhalten. Bestätigung trotzdem erhalten. Einchecken war möglich, aber Zimmer sehr kalt und erst in Morgenstunden Zimmertemperatur erreicht. Flecken auf Bettkommode, Teppiche insgesamt etwas "schmuddelich". Frühstücksbuffet relativ teuer.

Zeer gastvrij hotel

Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Het is ook goed geregeld als je naar het centrum gaat dat je door de shuttle daar word afgezet, en je een voucher krijgt om tegen een gereduceerde prijs met de taxi weer terug kan.

Het hotel is wel toe aan renovatie, ruikt wat muffig en ook de kamers zijn niet echt groot. Ik had geboekt voor Novotel special maar heb daar niet echt iets van gemerkt of meegegkregen.

Het is al de derde keer, dat we voor Novotel kiezen. Kinderen gratis is een super pluspunt. Heb het aangeraden bij kennissen en familie. Onze kamer en badkamer waren ook super schoon. Complimenten! Ook de shuttle bus service vind ik geweldig.

Ik vind 18,50 voor het ontbijt erg duur... Ik zag een hoop mensen, die geen ontbijt namen ivm de prijs.
