Het Wapen van Middelie is a remarkable hotel. A personal approach in a casual setting is the hotel's calling card. It gives guests a sense of home in a beautiful area. There are various touristic bike routes near Het Wapen van Middelie. At the reception guests can have these routes outlined. The hotel also has rental bikes. Surroundings
Middelie is a village with 700 inhabitants. The landscape around the village is a true paradise for many species of birds and plants. Middelie is located in the reclaimed land area 'De Beemster' and near Edam and Volendam. Because this 'polder' dates from 1612 it is listed on UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites. There are also five fortresses in De Beemster. Middelie is 25 kilometres away from Amsterdam. By bike, which can be rented at the hotel, guests can easily go to the famous towns Volendam and Edam through the natural surroundings.
