Description
Bed and Breakfast Boerderij Hermans Dijkstra lies in the quiet town of Midwolda, in the middle of Oldambt region, in the eastern part of the province of Groningen. You can reach the farm which dates from 1858 and was named after the original owner via the long, stately tree-lined driveway. Along the driveway is an original English swing garden and when the weather is nice, it is a wonderful place to enjoy the peace and quiet.
The monumental farmhouse is surrounded by vast farmland. In 2002, the restoration of the building was completed. Behind the farm you will find a gueshouse that offers six beautifully appointed, spacious apartments with some antique elements. The rooms have a private bathroom, bedroom, living room and a kitchenette.
The restaurant is in the farm's large attached barn. Meals are cooked with fresh and regional produce and you can take potluck. The regularly changing menu features fish, meat and vegetarian dishes.
Food and Drinks
Every morning you can enjoy breakfast between 07:00 and 10:00 h.
The restaurant is open from Thursday to Saturday. On other days, the restaurant is open for group bookings only.

You can make free use of wireless Internet in the entire guesthouse.

- There is no 24-hour reception. Guests can check-in until 23:00 h.

Nearby Bed and Breakfast Boerderij Hermans Dijkstra lies the lake Oldambtmeer and the nature area Dollard. The picturesque area of East Groningen is a wonderful place to relax. Those who enjoy walking can go to the Midwolderbos and those who like shopping can visit the city of Groningen that is located only a 20-minute drive from the farm. The farm lies only a fifteen minute drive from the German border.
