The owners are very friendly people who take honestly care of their guests in a personnel fashion. In this respect one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. It was also nice to be in a small town, also for shopping. The environment is interesting with the rivers and islands of Zeeland especially.

In the restaurant the portions were too big for us. There is room for an extension of the menue towards reduced portions. Otherwise the food was excellent.

Rather corporate feel but staff very pleasant and helpful.

On Sat 26 Nov there was an extremely noisy house party nearby with very loud music which went on well into the early hours. On first telling reception at midnight we were told it should soon end. However by 1 am it had not ceased. We were then offered an alternative room. This we were grateful for, as we had an early start the next day.

We should have been offered a room earlier as there were clearly unoccupied rooms. No help could be provided to move. We therefore returned to our original room the next day. This caused confusion at reception. Also, we would have preferred a lounge area (if there was one we did not see it) rather than the few seats in reception area of hotel. Road sognage to hotel poor.

I think it is not correct to add the breakfast automatically to the bill. I had no breakfast and discovered only by chance that it was on the bill lumped together with the room. Your staff confirmed this as standard procedure. But I would come back when in the area.

bijzonder historisch gebouw waarbij met zorg en aandacht voor details en de nodige aanpassingen op de hotelkamers ongetwijfeld 'n goede overnachtings-voorzieningen te realiseren valt. vriendelijk personeel ! staan ook open voor suggesties.

-niet de kamers gekregen die op de reservering/hotel-site stonden. -afvoer wasbak licht verstopt .-geen fohn/afvalzakjes in de douches-geen hotel-info/lectuur op de kamers.-beddensprei komt niet schoon over.-stoffig in hoeken en achter de toegangsdeur van mijn kamer.-er hebben bijna constant laken/linnen op de gang gelegen v.w. wisseling.-ontbijt: brood niet vers, geen vruchtensap gemis van vers buffet.-de avond van aankomst was er een bijeenkomst waarbij beneden in de gang binnen het gebouw werd toegestaan dat er gerookt mocht worden.-door de oudheid van het gebouw hangt er al een muffige lucht, helaas ook i/d kledingkast.-voorziening restaurants erg mooi, maar de zwarte gordijnen zijn te veel zwart en daardoor deprimerend. Ondanks mijn voorkeur voor zwart !

Zeer goed restaurant, goede en vriendelijke bediening. Ontbijt was ook netjes verzorgd. Kamer was prima.

Bij het inchecken geen informatie gekregen over het hotel. Jammer dat er voor het hotel sloopwerkzaamheden waren.

A mini bar in the room might be a good idea. Getting out of the car park was a bit complicated. After paying for the car park in reception we tried to leave by inserting the ticket reception gave us but were constantly told that we had to re-insert our credit card
