The 247-acre Mookerplas with its 'De Grote Siep' recreational area is a perfect setting for enjoying sunbathing, swimming, surfing, sailing and fishing.

A breakfast buffet is served from Monday through Friday between 06:00 and 10:30, and at weekends between 07:00 and 11:00.
At the Brasserie and the restaurant you can enjoy a cup of coffee, an elaborate lunch or a delicious dinner. The restaurant offers a special Timo Toekan children's menu and kids will also receive a colouring picture. The spacious outdoor terrace is open during nice weather. And a wide variety of drinks and snacks are available at the bar including various beers, cocktails, whiskys, cognacs and liqueurs.

Good location and very easy to find. Clean hotel with an excellent shower (an important factor to me which many hotels don't seem to have). The staff were very friendly and all spoke English very well. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it!

The inner door to the corridor could do with a device to close it slowly as it currently closes with a bang. But this was only a very minor disturbance. Overall, we loved the hotel.

the only hotel in that part of the town, not far from Mook-Molenhoek train station, there is no noise, calm place, where you can enjoy fresh air and stay far from the fuss. It's clean, and cosy.

1) Not very clearly marked! Don't You look for "Van der Valk", you cant find it! This is marked as HOTEL MOLENHOEK. ;)
2) Attention, no bathroom doors (maybe additional attraction ?).

The food was very good as was the service in the restaurant.

There were very noisy customers in the hotel which kept me awake for a couple of hours in the night. When I tried to phone the reception desk to complain the line was always engaged and I was unable to get someone on the phone.
There was also a constant buzzing in the room. Airco?

Very good nights sleep for both of us, clean rooms, excellent breakfast and courteous staff. Very helpful reception staff who had a good command of English as our Dutch is very limited! Will definately use Van der Valk hotels again when visting The Netherlands.

Lovely Hotel, with excellent staff (with very good English). Room was clean. Food very good (but see point below). Excellent location for buses into Njimegen. Overall environment provided for a very stress free stay, even though it was on the last two days of the 4 day march.

Need to consider that 11 year old English children do not take well to curry flavoured tomato ketchup. Spoilt her food for her, firtunately I had plenty of food fer her to have some of mine. No reaction from the waitress, just that yes it was a curry flavoured packet that she left for my daughter.
