The hotel is located 6 kilometres from the centre of the capital of Wallonia, Namur. The Citadel of Namur is one of the largest strongholds in Europe and it was already used by the Romans as a fortress.

Surroundings
BW New Hotel De Lives Namur is located a few kilometres from the centre of Namur and 35 minutes from Brussels. There is much to see and do in the neighbourhood. You can cruise on the Meuse, or visit the caves of Han-Sur-Lesse, which lies on a limestone massif. In the woody surroundings of this small village in the Ardennes you can also go for a walk or cycling trip. Within 20 minutes you reach the town of Dinant in the Upper Meuse region. It lies at the foot of rocks, on the Meuse, and attracts many visitors with its citadel and funicular. The valleys of the Upper Meuse are dotted with castles and fortresses.
