Hotel Nes Ameland is centrally located on the island and is within walking distance from downtown Nes and the beach. In summer you can enjoy the sun and sea on one of the monitored beaches, or you can enjoy a drink in one of the many cafes and terraces in the centre of Nes. The island has almost 100 kilometres of cycle paths and cycling is an ideal way to explore the island. The hotel is an ideal base for a stay on Ameland. It offers bicycles for rent and your car can be parked for free at the hotel.
Ameland is a beautiful island that you can explore by bicycle, on horseback or by boat. The island has beautiful natural areas, such as Oerd, a swampy area where many birds live. You can visit the lighthouse in Hollum dating from 1880 and listen to the lighthouse keeper's stories about its rich history.
