Description
The large suites have a private entrance, a living room, bedroom, a garden with a patio and garden furniture, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet. On top of that, guests can use the outdoor jacuzzi and Finnish sauna. Bath slippers, a towel and bathrobe are included when using the outdoor spa. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer in the lounge. The fireplace is lit on chilly days.
Erfgoedlogies De Nijenshof is situated at the meeting point of the provinces Drenthe, Overijssel and Friesland. The surrounding area offers many nature reserves, which can be explored on one of the available hire bikes. The landscape varies from woods to water, and from heathlands to pastures. Don't forget to bring your camera to take some beautiful pictures.
Food and Drinks
A regional breakfast is served every morning from 08:00 - 10:00 including fresh eggs from the owners' chickens, fresh orange juice and Frisian sugar bread.
On Monday and Friday you can join the other guests and the host and hostess of De Nijenshof at the 'table d'hôtes' for a three-course, surprise dinner. Please notify the hotel in your reservation if you would like to have dinner.
You can enjoy a drink and a chat in the communal lounge with fireplace.

- De Nijenshof does not have a 24-hour reception. If you wish to check-in after 16:30, you'll need to contact the reception in advance.
- It is only possible to pay by cash or debit card (no credit card).
- The price for a third or fourth person in the same suite is €45 per person per night (this is not possible in the Kleine Beer suite).
- Pets are allowed on request at €7.50 a night.

Erfgoedlogies De Nijenshof is situated in the Nijenslekerveld, near the country estate De Eese. Here you can go for a walk in the woods, along fens and estates. Early birds might even run into a roe or other shy animals. Sailing in Giethoorn, cycling in the nature reserve of Dwingelder Veld, shopping in the picturesque town of Steenwijk, trips by car through the area's diverse landscape: the possibilities are endless.
