Hotel Courage lies on a magnificent location on the banks of the Waal river in the centre of Nijmegen. The shopping streets of this ancient city are within walking distance, as are all its nightlife venues. Guest of Hotel Courage have free access to the bicycle museum next door.
Hotel Courage is a small-scaled hotel with a homely atmosphere. It is located at the foot of the 'Valkhof,' the place where Charlemagne built a fortress, the remains of which can still be seen today. From the hotel you will have a wonderful view of the Waal and the boats passing by.
The single and double rooms of Hotel Courage are equipped with a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The rooms also have a television and a telephone and guests can use the wireless Internet connection free of charge. Valuables can be kept in the safe and the room temperature can be controlled individually with a thermostat.
Guests of the hotel have free access to the national bicycle museum 'Velorama', where about 250 antique bikes can be admired. And when you feel like cycling yourself, you can rent a modern bike at the reception and cycle along the Via Romana for example. This route will take you to some of the most interesting sites in the surroundings.
Food and Drinks
From 08:00 h. in the morning guests can have breakfast in the breakfast area. If you wish to use the breakfast buffet at an earlier time, this can be arranged in consultation with the hotel. The hotel has a bar where guests can have a nice drink. For dinner there are many restaurants to choose from along the Waal river, or in the city centre.

Guest can use the hotel's wireless Internet connection for free. The needed access code can be obtained at the reception.

Hotel Courage can be found at a magnificent location along the river Waal Its is close to the 'Valkhof,' where you can walk past the various ruins of the ancient fortress of Charlemagne. Nijmegen is a lively university city with great options for a night on the town. Besides that, the city has many historic attractions, since it was founded no less than 2000 years ago. This makes it the oldest city in the Netherlands.

We did not get the room with a view we booked.
There is no one available to help after 11pm so when we tried to arrange an wake up call we could not get any reply from reception.

- It is a family run hotel and the personal touch is unmistakable. The family provides a friendly service which is lacking in the big chains. I found the family genuinely caring. I shall willingly use the hotel again on my next visit to Nijgmegen. I hope by then they would have seen to the damp in the room that I used.

- De hotelmedewerkers waren zonder uitzondering bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en lekker vers (geen oud brood zoals bij sommige andere hotels die ik heb meegemaakt) Heerlijk koffie-apparaat ook :)
- In plaats van een tweepersoons bed hadden we 2 losse bedden. Ondanks dat ze tegen elkaar aan stonden waren ze apart opgemaakt en lagen er 2 losse 1 persoons dekbedden op. Da's dan weer wat minder tijdens een romantisch weekendje weg.
