In the middle of the centre of the oldest city in The Netherlands lies the friendly Mercure Nijmegen Centre. The hotel has an excellent location for guests who wish to explore the city, visit museums, or go shopping. In the bar and in the restaurant guests can have a great meal or enjoy a quick drink.
Mercure Nijmegen Centre lies adjacent to Nijmegen station, within walking distance of the lively shopping streets. It is an excellent starting point for an exploration of the oldest city of The Netherlands. It was founded over 2.000 years ago, when the Romans built the army camp 'Novio Magus' high above the river, among the woods and hills. The names of the hotel's restaurant and bar, 'Romulus' and 'Remus', still suggest a certain pride of the Roman past.
The hotel has an atmospheric bar and restaurant. Guests can also relax in the sauna or the solarium, at no additional charge. All of the hotel rooms are non-smoking. The luxury rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a safe, mini bar, satellite/cable television, and wireless Internet. For business travellers the hotel offers five meeting room. These can be arranged in various set-ups and can together seat up to 80 persons. After a meeting or a successful day of sight-seeing in the city, guests can enjoy the lively atmosphere of Nijmegen.
Food and Drinks
On weekdays breakfast is served from 06:30 to 10:00 h. and on the weekend between 07:00 and 12:00 h. The Brasserie is open until midnight. The internationally oriented Restaurant Romulus is open from 18:00 to 22:00 h. In Bar Remus guests can enjoy a nice drink. Warm dishes and cold snacks are available through room service from 06:00 to 22:00 h. on weekdays and from 18:00 to 22:00 h. on weekends.
Internet
Hotel guests can use two computers in the 'Internetcorner', at an additional fee. At the reception one can purchase cards to make use of wireless Internet.

De kamer en wc zijn schoon. Er zijn voldoende handdoeken.
- Betreft het ontbijtbuffet: De uitgebakken spek was gewoon ontbijtspek. Advies is om echte Engelse bacon te gebruiken. behalve de smaak is deze bacon minder zout.

- A very clean hotel with good food and service in a very handy location
- The reception staff were very friendly and very helpful and the location is good. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food and drinks and in conjunction with the bed and breakfast rate represents excellent value. Clean and tidy throughout.

- the rooms are extremely small which would be far more suitable for the Ibis chain rather than the more upclass Mercure. Therefore we are not pleased with the price/quality relation.

- Prijs/kwaliteit zeer goed vanwege leuk aanbod voor bijna helft van de prijs. Hotel is zeer kalm ondanks dat deze gelegen is naast het station. Goede comfortabele bedden en lekker lang uitslapen doordat de uitboektijd pas om uiterlijk 12.00 uur is.
