Ever since 1930 Hotel Sionshof has been known for its atmosphere and hospitality. It became internationally renowned for its role in World War II. On 17 September 1944 the hotel was used as headquarters for the Allied Powers, that ultimately recaptured Nijmegen from the occupiers. There's a piece of art next to the hotel in remembrance of this remarkable period.
Food and Drinks
Each morning guests can take breakfast between 07:00 and 11:00 h. in the cosy breakfast area, or on the half-covered terrace if weather permits it. On the weekend the breakfast is available from 08:00 until 11:00 h. Lunches are also served, and sometimes a High Tea. The restaurant is a lovely place to relax in the evening. Enjoy a drink at the fireplace, read a book or paper, or use the internet here.

A visit to the historic town of Nijmegen is a must, where you can go shopping, go out, or enjoy endless walks through the beautiful medieval streets along Roman monuments. Nijmegen lies only 4 kilometers from the hotel and is perfectly accessible by public transport. Golf lovers can visit the golf course Het Rijk van Nijmegen.
