- geur op kamer kamer aan straat met veel lawaai mijn kamerdeur rammelde wanneer de buren hun deur openden ontbijt is van matige kwaliteit

+ Het is een zeer gemoedelijk hotel. Sfeer en benadering is erg persoonlijk je bent geen nummer. Zeker een aanrader en heerlijk in het centrum. wij komen graag nog een keer terug!

+ sehr schönes Hotel in typischem Amsterdamer Reihenhaus in TOP-Lage für Sightseeing, Bars erleben, an den Grachten entlang und durch kleine Straßen schlendern..; die saubere Gemeinschaftsdusche und -toilette haben wir nur mit einem anderen Zimmer geteilt; gutes Frühstück (aber auch die Bäcker und Cafés in der Nähe wären eine sehr gute Alternative); Fahrradvermietung in Kerkstraat 134 http://www.mikesbiketoursamsterdam.com/

+ good location, clean, easy check-in and check-out. Allows you to leave baggage after 11 AM check-out

- Unfriendly staff appear too busy to answer simple questions. Breakfast has poor quality coffee, uses only high transfat butter substitute, meats and cheeses low quality, bread is packaged and tasteless. Staircase is extremely steep and not suitable for many people.

+ The staff was really friendly and service-minded. The rooms was clean, so was the toilet and bath. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is perfect, you walk almost straight out to -I don't know the word for it, but you know, a long long street full of shops. There is the most cosy and 'warm' Coffeeshop right next door, called The Dolphin.

- The walls in the room are crying for new paint or a good scrub. Other then that, i have no bad things to say. I loved my stay there, and i will definitely come again next year!

+ THE PERSONNEL WERE VERY FRIENDLY;MAYBE A LITTLE BIT UNSMILING,BUT VERY HELPFUL AND EFFICIENT.THE LOCATION WAS GREAT;RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING AND VERY EASY TO REACH.BREAKFAST WAS SATISFYING.

- THE STAIRS WERE AWFUL,JUST LIKE CLIMBING HIMALAYAS.THE BED SHEETS WERE NOT CHANGED FOR THREE DAYS.

- hotel staff should INSIST on taking your lugggage to your room since the stairway is so dangerously steep and narrow. The folks at the front desk can throw around some 'attitude'.

+ from now on this friendly&cosy hotel shall be the one for me stay as i come to visit amsterdam once a year at least.the staff and management are such sweet heart people,always willing to help you out with whatever is that you might need.i love the background classical music played while you're having your yammy breakfast.what can i say?definetely dutch do it better!!!

+ Had a lovely stay at the Golsen Bear. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be better. Breckfast is served til 12 so thats fantastic.

- Toilet and shower room where down a flight of stairs and the shower room was very basic, not exactly luxary power shower, but you can't have it all on a buget I suppose.

+ Location was perfect for exploring the city. It was quiet because it's half a block from the busy shopping district. Very comfortable bed. Clean. Friendly staff.

- Thin walls. Hope for quiet neighbours. Only one bathroom for 2 floors. The stairs to the rooms are crazy steep and narrow. Almost like climbing a ladder to get to rooms above

+ Wonderful location, very clean, friendly and helpful people at the desk, comfortable, quiet room, excellent breakfasts. I would stay there again and would like to thank the staff.

- A bit expensive to Americans, but that is due probably to our weak currency.. The narrow stairs are rather difficult with a suitcase but it is a fair trade off for a lovely old building and location.
