Noordwijk aan Zee was established in the early 13th century when the first fishermen settled in the dunes around Noordwijk. In 1866 it became a beach resort because the seawater was supposed to have a medicinal effect. Nowadays, it is the third beach resort in the Netherlands. Hotel de Admiraal Noordwijk is located on the edge of the centre of Noordwijk aan Zee, near the beautiful beach and the North Sea.
For a fully relaxed feeling you can also use the sauna and sunbed (at a small charge). The hotel has freee parking spaces available for its guests. These are located 500 meters from the hotel. The hotel has a lift. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with a bathroom with bath or shower, toilet, television, desk and Internet connection. In the lounge is a computer with ADSL.

Surroundings
The beautiful dune area is excellent for walking and cycling. Active tourists will find plenty of outdoor activities such as horseback riding, playing tennis and several water sports. At night you can walk over the boulevard with the many charming restaurants, or enjoy the nightlife in Noordwijk aan Zee.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served in the restaurant. Between 07:30 and 09:30 h. the breakfast buffet is ready for you. For a drink or a snack you can go to the sunny terrace or the hotel bar. The bar is open till midnight.

I was missing additional blankets in the room and I was cold during the night (because I wasn't feeling quite well - the room had a normal temperature otherwise). I could have asked at the reception and I'm sure I'd get help. But it would have been great if extra blankets were automatically there.

I feel the cost per night is high, and the check put time need to be flexible. There is no any tour program based on this hotel. Just for staying is ok.
