Surroundings

In the vicinity of Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin you can visit the Space Expo, the largest space exhibition in Europe. In springtime a visit to the spring garden Keukenhof in Lisse is also highly recommended. There are several golf courses nearby as well. Two of the most popular courses that have been used for (international) tournaments are the 18-hole course Noordwijkse Golfclub and the Kennemer Golfbaan.

Food and Drinks

The breakfast buffet is served in La Corbeille from Monday until Saturday between 07:00 and 10:30 h. and on Sunday between 08:00 and 10:30 h. In restaurant La Terrasse you can enjoy a cup of coffee, an informal lunch or dinner. The elegant and attractive à la carte restaurant Latour is the perfect spot for connoisseurs that prefer dishes with a French touch. This restaurant has a Michelin star. Both restaurants are open from 12:00 until 22:00 or 23:00 h. Guests can also visit Bar Maritime from 18:00 until 24:00 h. and enjoy the maginificent view of the North Sea. The lounges in the hotel are perfect to enjoy a drink or a light meal.

it is home way from home!
  • + Excellent service, warm welcome, eye contact every time when you enter the hotel lobby. the hotel has a very good atmosphere. all together we ad a fantastic stay!
  • – one elevator was out of service during our stay. a lot of people used the fire escape stairs. they were never cleaned once! in such a situation perhaps they should take note.
  • * my tip Breakers is a very attractive restaurant. when the sun is out, the terrace is very confortable, and when it is colder ,inside is lovely as well.

  • + Excellent mattresses. Outstanding service and personnel. Sea view is fantastic. Rooms (deluxe sea view in this case) not cramped like many other 5-stars. Champagne breakfast was good. Classic style and atmosphere, just how 5-star hotels should be.
  • – Some minor details in room; paint job in some corners, balcony is a bit weathered. Chairs in room a tad too "Louis XIV". The location, sea view and luxury are very addictive. We will be returning to this fine hotel.

  • + I am handicapped and the Hotel Huis ter Duin is wheelchair accessible. The staff is very helpful and handicap friendly. Quiet hotel and surroundings.
  • – Unfortunately there is just one handicap room Landside. There is NO handicap room SEAVIEW! For handicapped people it is a bit discriminatory if you have no choice between Land- and Seaview room!
