Where is the hospitality
  • + Good breakfast, late check out, good location
  • My husband has a broken foot, so check in lady gave us a room miles away, if we wanted a room nearer we would have to pay euro 25 extra Neither did she offer us invalid parking although the spaces at the front were all empty, euro 25 for parking Room was outdated, scratches on wallpaper, stain on carpet. There seemed to be more dogs than guests ....

  • (Young couples)
  • + We enjoyed the spa downstairs and the room was lovely.

  • (Friends)

Review of Palace Hotel, Noordjvyk
  • + Fantastic Hotel
  • Breakfast is too expensive - 30 Euros!
  • (Young couples)
Nicer than Expected
  • + Nicer than it appears on internet, secure bike parking, welcome drinks
  • Room was very cold and they would not provide extra blankets. Safety concern in room lead to a bad accident with a lacerated knee all black and blue staff says they made a note - didn't offer to fix the problem
  • (Other)
Head Engineer
  • + Very good comfort.
  • Internet access was too expensive, should be free of charge as it is in many other similar hotels.
  • (Other)
We freezing
  • In the room it was very cold, because when you go out of the room the air-conditioning is switched off. The air-conditioning is very noisy, it's difficult to sleep. For a five star hotel it is not worth the money. The spa/swimming pool is in very bad condition, you can burn in the Turkish steambad, too hot. Don't go to this hotel!
  • (Families with older children)
  • + Good service. Room excellent. No complains about the wellness center, high quality treatment and friendly attitude. Will certainly come back
  • Pillows to soft Breakfeast too expensive
  • (Older couples)
  • + Rustig hotel met prima kamers en vriendelijk personeel. Uitstekend bed.
  • (Travelling alone)
  • + The bed was comfortable and the food was well prepared. The bathroom was clean.
  • Like so many hotels, if you specify you want a smoking room they will take your booking without telling you that they do not have smoking rooms. I was kept on hold for 15 mins waiting to order room service. I hung up and called back, and then had to wait an hour before my food was delivered. Their expensive steam-eucalyptus shower was unable to maintain a constant water temperature. There were light stains on the carpets. The hotels own parking spaces for visitors was an additional 20 euro per day!
  • (Families with young children)
  • + Clean, reasonably good (but generally overpriced) restaurants. Good contract babysitting service.
  • Hotel is not five-star caliber. Dubious service standards despite some good individual professionals. Particular indifference toward children in the restaurants. 7am breafast starts at 7:15. Our room overlooked main road -- quite noisy. Tiny, cold swimming pool. Long walk to the beach. Better choices in Noordwijk aan Zee.
  • (Other)
  • + Excellent comfy bed. Fabulous shower.
  • Small wardobe space (if bringing a dress, then it could not hang). Breakfast was overpriced at 20.50
  • (Families with young children)
  • + Fantastic shower/steam room in the bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good parking facilities. Excellent location.
  • We had asked for a cot to be put in the room before we arrived. This did not happen. We then asked for a cot and had to call reception several times before it arrived. The receptionist grumpily told us that we should have booked a larger room if we wanted to have a cot in it!!! For it being a 5 star hotel, I thought the breakfast was rather poor. We had to keep asking for coffee (which was also not very tasty!).
  • (Young couples)
  • Price / quality very good with special offer only remarks: Coffee and tea set missing in the room (normal for angle room but still "missing" for us) and worn-out bathrobes (but clean so minor pb)
  • (Friends)
  • + staff friendly plenty nice walks few minutes away seemed very child friendly appreciated pianist in lobby on Sat night little passing traffic would use same hotel again
  • long queue to check in and check out breakfast plate was whisked away before I'd finished and had to wait some time for another knife and fork would have been nice to have one British newspaper
  • (Older couples)
  • + Friendly service
  • Breakfast at ¤ 19.50 is ridiculous!
  • (Older couples)
  • + Fabulous rooms. Great value. Would book again.
  • Although we phoned to say we would be arriving after 6 pm, when we arrived the receptionist was very unfriendly, and told us she had given away our rooms. We finally got a room, but then in the middle of serving me, the receiptionist turned around and served 4 German men and made me wait even longer.
  • (Young couples)
  • + next to the beach
  • No free parking for the customers
