Description
The hospitable Hotel de Stee is a 3-star accomodation in the centre of Odoorn, at 8 kilometres from Emmen. Odoorn lies in the scenic area 'Hondsrug', bordering with forestries and heathlands. At the reception you can rent a bicycle for €7.50 per day and explore the surroundings. Your bicycle or motorcycle can be placed in the covered, secured storage of the hotel.
The comfortable hotel rooms are equipped with a shower and toilet, television, telephone and wireless Internet. When you book a Deluxe Room, you will also have a bathrobe, a safe, a massage shower and a DVD player. The hotel offers an atmospheric lounge with a fireplace, a cosy breakfast room, a restaurant and a tearoom. On sunny days you can take a seat in the courtyard and enjoy a drink on the terrace. The hotel does not have a lift.
Food and Drinks
A breakfast buffet is served daily from 08:00 to 09:30. It is also possible to order a packed breakfast.
The hotel has a stylish English tearoom where you can enjoy an 'English tea' atmosphere of the 1920's (Open from 10:00 to 17:00 on Friday until Sunday). Home-made scones, cakes and chocolates are perfect accompaniments to a nice cup of tea. You can also purchase typical English products in the 'Twinkeltie'.
An elaborate 3 course dinner is served daily in the restaurant for hotel guests. (From 1st December to 1st March, dinner is only served at 18:00) If you wish to dine on your day of arrival, please state so on your reservation in the comments box. The bar is open after dinner until 23:00.

Guests can make free use of wireless internet at the hotel.

- The hotel has a 24-hour reception. In case you would like to check in after 23:00 h., you need to contact the reception in advance.
- An additional bed can be placed in the deluxe room on request for €23.50 a night including breakfast.
- Pets are allowed on request for €6 a night in a deluxe room.
- Luggage can be stored at the hotel.
Surroundings
Hotel de Stee Odoorn has a convenient location for those who like making cycling and hiking trips along heath and woods. In the nearby village of Borger you can take a break to admire the largest 'hunebed' (dolmen) in the Netherlands, or visit the 'Hunebedmuseum'. By car the 'Noorder Dierenpark' zoo in Emmen can be easily reached. The museum village Orvelte is also worth a visit, with its monumental farmhouses and demonstrations of arts and crafts.
