Description

Hotel Artisan is located on the edge of Oirschot, between the cities 's-Hertogenbosch, Tilburg and Eindhoven. In the surroundings there are various nature areas. From the hotel guests can make a trip to the city of Antwerp, or to the theme parks 'De Efteling' in Kaatsheuvel and 'Autotron' in Rosmalen.

The family-run Hotel Artisan can accommodate both individual travellers and groups, as there is a guest house next to the hotel. In the warm and homely common areas of the hotel guests can read their newspaper, watch some television, or gather together while enjoying a nice drink or a bite to eat. On sunny days the garden is an excellent place to relax. The garden offers a view of the pond and the meadows.

The rooms of Hotel Artisan are all equipped with a television, free wireless Internet, a safe and a bathroom with a toilet and a shower or bath. The hotel also offers a laundry service.

Food and Drinks

The breakfast buffet is served from 06:00 to 09:00 h. on weekdays and from 08:00 to 10:00 h. on weekends. Alternative breakfast times are only possible on request. The hotel staff can also provide lunch on request. From Monday through Thursday the kitchen of the restaurant is open from 18:00 to 20:30 h. It offers a daily changing 3-course menu. The kitchen is closed on weekends. However, the hotel will gladly make a reservation for its guests at another restaurant. The bar in the restaurant is open daily from 17:00 to 23:00 h., except for Sundays.

With your own laptop you can make free use of wireless Internet in the hotel.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check in until 23:00 h. Guests who wish to check in at a later time, need to contact the reception in advance.

Surroundings

Hotel Artisan is located on the edge of the historic village Oirschot. From the hotel you will have a beautiful view of the countryside. The village has several monuments and a protected townscape. Oirschot lies in the nature area 'Het Groene Woud' between Eindhoven, Tilburg, and Den Bosch. Also, there are more nature areas nearby where guests can enjoy a good bike ride or walk. There is a train station in the nearby Best and Eindhoven Airport is only 8.8 kilometres away from the hotel. The city of Antwerp is only an hour away from Oirschot. The theme parks 'De Efteling' in Kaatsheuvel and 'Autotron' in Rosmalen can be reached within half an hour.

Location: a bit difficult to find and to get there, but road works in Oirschot are not the guilty of the hotel. Also location: Well situated in the country-side, village and farm-feeling, good - enjoyable.; (I did last minute booking - ) The under-roof room (No. 35) only had a 'velux' but no real window. Such a room is not really pleasant and low cathegory, so it schould be made cheaper. Apart from that, everything was fine, working, ok.

Goede bedden , maaltijden zijn van de categorie goede en eenvoudige maar met grote zorg bereid . Bereidheid om de gasten het naar de zin te maken is byzonder groot. Het terugkomen zeker waard.; het licht in de gang mocht wel wat beter zijn. Nu moest een schakelaar omgezet worden, lastig als je de eerste keer daar bent. Een bewegingscensor of schakelaar met verlichting maakt het geheel aanmerkelijk eenvoudiger om het licht aan te doen.
