The magnificent Residentie Vlierijck has a thatched roof and is a completely new complex with deluxe, contemporary apartments. The hotel is situated in the centre of the old village Oost-Vlieland, which is the only one on the island. The ferry from Harlingen moors a 100 metres from here. Within a five-minute walk you reach the main street of this historical village. The sand flats of the Wadden Sea are just as nearby and the wide North Sea beach is a small bicycle ride away.
This Westcord hotel has several luxurious facilities, among which three types of saunas, solariums, an indoor pool and room service. Only the swimming pool is free of charge. In addition there's a special indoor playground where children can play when the weather is not so good.

Surroundings
Vlieland is an oasis of peace, away from the hustle and bustle of the main land. Since only island inhabitants are allowed to have a car, almost everyone travels on foot or by bicycle. Obviously this fact contributes to the peaceful and dreamy atmosphere that is salutary for the young and the old. Broad white sandy beaches can be found on the entire north-west side, whereas the unique Wadden Sea provides breathtaking panoramic views.

Accessibility:
Harlingen can be reached by the A7 from Antwerp - Breda - Rotterdam - The Hague - Amsterdam - Afsluitdijk - Harlingen - Leeuwarden - Groningen. On the ring road at Harlingen, the Dutch AA boards indicate the exit: Harlingen-Havens. Before taking the ferry, you can leave your car behind in Harlingen. Non-island residents are not permitted to take their cars onto Vlieland.
