Originally this hotel was an inn for merchants and travellers looking for a hot meal, a drink and a straw bed. Nowadays the hotel offers a comfortabele accommodation for both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant and brasserie. On sunny days you can sit in the nice backgarden and enjoy the view of the pastures. In the cosy bar and lounge you can have a drink at the fireplace.
The spacious, airy rooms and suites have comfortable and modern amenities such as a television, telephone, radio, safe, alarmclock, desk, toilet and a private bathroom with a shower and bathroom amenities. The family rooms have a separate room for children.
Food and Drinks
In the brasserie, breakfast is served from 07:30 h. till 10:00 h. on weekdays and from 08:00 till 10:00 h. in the weekend. You can also have lunch here. The stylish restaurant has an intimate atmosphere. You can choose from meat, fish and pasta dishes. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 till 21:00 h.

Due to the peaceful location in the village of Oostwold in Leek, Hotel Het Witte Paard offers a rural retreat where you can relax. However, the vibrant student city of Groningen can be reached by car in only 10 minutes. Here you can find an abundance of cafés, restaurants and nice shops. In the cultural field Groningen also has much in store. For instance, you can visit one of the exhibitions in the Groninger Museum or go to a theatre show in the wonderful Stadsschouwburg Groningen.
