Description
Hotel de la Poste is established in a historic building of which the oldest foundations date back to the 17th century. The building has functioned as a Latin school for over two centuries. It became a hotel in 1925. Its name refers to the stage coach that used to be parked in one of the annexes that is now the hotel bar. The nostalgic appearance of the hotel matches perfectly with the atmosphere of the small but very picturesque town Ootmarsum.
The 12 comfortable rooms are all equipped with a bath or shower, toilet, hair dryer, television, telephone and radio. The hotel offers all modern conveniences. It has a cosy lounge with a fire place, an outside terrace on the front side, and a (partly heated) terrace on the garden side as well. Bikes that enable you to explore the beautiful natural surroundings, can be rented at the hotel. They can be stalled in the bicycle shed upon return. You can also find culinary delight in the cosy bistro or in the stylish à la carte restaurant.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served from Monday through Saturday between 08:00 and 10:00 h. and on Sunday between 08:30 and 10:30 h. These times can vary in consultation with the staff. Guests can pay a visit to the cosy bistro for a nice dinner in an informal atmosphere. Those who prefer a high culinary level can order a 3, 4, or even 5-course dinner in the atmospheric à la carte restaurant.

With their laptop guests can make free use of wireless Internet throughout the hotel.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. In case you would like to check in after 18:00 h., you need to contact the reception.
- There is a surcharge of 3% for credit card payments.
- An additional bed can be placed in the room on request for 50% of the price per person.

Surroundings
Ootmarsum is the oldest town in the 'Twente' region and has a very rich history that is still tangible. Apart from old buildings, churches and alleys, a lot of cultural traditions are still practised here, such as specific Easter customs and blowing horns in mid-winter. The city is surrounded by lovely slanting woods and pastures. Hotel de la Poste is therefore an ideal base for hiking and biking trips.

- Parking in Ootmarsum is free of charge. The hotel does not have private parking facilities, but within 30 meters distance there is a large (free of charge) parking. You can unload your bagage in front of the hotel.

- One child up to 3 years old can stay in the room of the parents. A children's bed (not a camping bed) can be placed on request for €15 per stay, including bed linen. An additional bed needs to be placed for an older child at a charge of 50% of the price per person.
