In the woods of Oranjewoud, close to Heerenveen, lies the beautiful hotel Golden Tulip Tjaarda. The hotel has lots to offer, for both a business and leisure related stay in the heart of the province of Friesland. In summertime guests can take a seat on the outside terrace near the fountain. The menu offers a wide variety of European dishes. Besides this menu there is also a daily changing three- and four-course dinner. The host or hostess can advise you about a matching wine.
The informal atmosphere of Grand Café Tjaarda makes it the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, an aperitif, lunch or dinner. It offers four different areas: the Scottish style bar 't Haagje, a sun room, the Grand Café and a beautiful terrace next to the woods. The opening hours are from 10:00 to 01:00 h.
