Description
Originality and an excellent reputation characterize Priorij Corsendonk. The hotel is established in a former monastery, of which the original northern wing still remains. On the ground floor lies the chapter house, where the monks used to work on their manuscripts. The basement with its arched roof is almost entirely intact. With financial aid of the Flemish government a large part of the monastery was restored. The proceeds of the current conference center, the guestrooms and the restaurant are used to maintain the priory.
You stay in a luxurious standard room or a monk room. The rooms are divided over the outbuildings, such as the Guesthouse and the Laymen's House. The standard rooms are equipped with a television, telephone, safe and a minibar. There is a spacious bathroom with a washbasin, hair dryer, bath and/or shower and a toilet. The charming monk rooms are suitable for one person. Besides a basic bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet these rooms also have a television and telephone.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is available on weekdays from 07:00 until 09:30 h. and at weekends from 08:00 until 10:30 h.
In the restaurant of De Priorij you can dine in a medieval atmosphere. You need to make reservations in advance. The menus have three to five courses. During the weekend there is a fixed menu du chef.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guest can check in until 23:00 h.

In the woody surroundings of Priorij van Corsendonk you can follow one of the many cycle routes and walking trails. The centre of Turnhout is just 15 minutes away by car. Here you will find nice shopping streets, cafés and restaurants. The city of Antwerp can also easily reached by car. You can also make a trip to Bobbejaanland theme park, Zilvermeer recreational area or the abbey of (West)Malle.
