How to make you feel not welcome!

• + Excellent location. Friendly atmosphere.
• – Front desk staff not customer-friendly. Very cold in the room and there were no extra blankets
• * my tip Buiten Societeit! Just a couple of meters away.

nice & cosy hotel around Groningen

• + nice pool (but had to pay € 5 per bathrobe!)
• – old fashioned - could be renovated. Flat screen TV, but only 20 channels...

Faded glory

• + -surroundings
• – -Small room en en shower. -State of the art seventies design is obsolete -expensive regarding the quality -long que during check out, only one person at reception

Comfortable and spacious

• + A very comfortable hotel, with spacious public areas and a good pool/spa/gym facility. Our "de luxe" room was quiet and pleasant, if not exactly luxurious. Staff all friendly and helpful. The bus to Groningen stops outside, and guests can rent bicycles and motor scooters. An enjoyable stay all round.
• – The pool/spa is somewhat "no frills", especially in terms of the changing area. Food and drink a little expensive, as compared with central Groningen. Some lack of attention to detail in housekeeping, though swiftly remedied by the reception staff.

Weekend by the sea, not the hotel

• + Great location
• – I was asked to collect extra towels from the front desk, I was unable to do this for some time. No toaster, the cook had to go to the kitchen and toast some bread for me. Tried to include the breakfast costs, when it was already included in bill.

Great hotel with potential

• + Great and friendly personnel. Quite and relaxing location. Nerve soothing stay.
• – Exercise area is small. You need a free weight area and a mat area for stretching - yoga. Internet expensive and unreliable. If Internet stops working there is no help on the side. I lost one day of my work and one day of Internet payment - no refund from KPN. You need some leverage with KPN to assist guests or at least to help with refunds. You need some repair service 7 days/week and faster. I had to repair the stopper in my bathroom hand basin twice. Other repairs that were needed - entry door had to be slammed hard to close - waking neighbours. The balkony door needs to open fromn the outside or the key needs to be in the room.

Relaxing, Elegant Hotel in Unique Location

• + Beautiful location, modern and very stylish facility, excellent on-site restaurant and staff

• + attentive personnel, clean rooms, comfortable bathroom, swimming pool and other sporting and relax facilities, outstanding breakfasts

• + the best hotel in the Groningen and surroundings; swimming pool, fitness, sauna; big rooms; best breakfast

• + Friendly and helpful staff - although part of a chain it didn't feel like it. All facilities were of a a high standard; food in restaurant good.
• – The taxi fare into town was exhorbitant - use the bus!

• + It was a very pleasant stay with a special PLUS PLUS point for the babysitting as they found a very good babysitter for our kids. The place was really next to the fiesta place so even if you are very drunk, you can find the way back to your room. I recommend this hotel with a +++
• – The only minus point i found was that in the double room, you have 2 single beds instead of a real double bed.

• + for the amount of money we paid we were very pleased,perhaps we are used to England's poor standards but never the less there was talk of coming back or checking the other hotels you offer.The swimming pool was agreat bonus.

• + Clean rooms, spacious, instant coffee in room, great breakfast buffet
• – Unfriendly staff. Receptionist was not very helpful. It might be a language problem, but I was quite disappointed about staff manners and service.

• + The room was nice and we like the hotel's decoration and its setting. On the whole, we noticed already a difference in quality (and price/quality) compared to two years ago.
• – We very much liked the possibility of having breakfast in the garden. Although the tables were cleaned and wiped, the spots gave an unclean impression as the tables did not have table cloths. The temperature of the swimming pool area was too high. We regretted that the bicyles were dirty and that they did not have any bicycle side bags.
