Dutch Resistance Museum Amsterdam

The Plancius Building, in which the Verzetsmuseum (Dutch Resistance Museum) is located, was built in 1876 to be a social club for the Jewish choir. It has been a museum since 1999 and its permanent exhibition displays the work of the Dutch resistance during WWII. The Netherlands were occupied by Nazi Germany from 10th May 1940 to 5th May 1945. The exhibition covers all forms of resistance: the strikes, the forging of documents, underground newspapers, escape routes, armed resistance and espionage.
