Hotel Norg is a friendly family-run hotel on the edge of the village centre of Norg, in the beautiful woody environment of North Drenthe. You can set out on walks directly from the hotel, and the congenial hotel owners will be happy to provide information about various options. The hotel is only a 30-minute drive from Groningen, and the bus stop is just 50 m from the hotel. The hotel is established in a typical Dutch 1930's building and has a nice restaurant with an outdoor terrace. Guests can hire bikes at the hotel, and there is a covered and lockable bike shed. The hotel also offers a laundry service.
The hotel was reopened in April 2012 after a thorough renovation. The spacious hotel rooms are completely up to date. The interior is classically modern with a seating area and comfortable beds. The rooms also come with an airy bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. It is a pleasure to wake up to a tasty breakfast each morning at Hotel Norg. You can take lovely walks directly from the hotel. A beautiful route starts at de Hoop windmill in Norg and will take you across the sand path from Norg to Westervelde. Just 1.6 km from the hotel is a unique nature area of vast woods and shifting sands, such as the Molenduinen, Langeloërduinen and the Oosterduinen dunes. Hotel Norg is approximately a 10-minute drive from the Drentse Golf & Country Club, and a 15-minute drive from the Drentsche Aa National Park. The famous TT course in Assen is only a 20-minute drive away. If you want to try your luck at the casino in Groningen, then Hotel Norg can offer you free entry.
