Very large room and good facilities.; - Suggestion: the "Mass Transportation" (bus and train, including the map of bus stops) can be put on hotel homepage, and e-mail to the guests. Actually it is not too complicated from Amsterdam to Waterland by bus, but the bus stop of Amsterdam Central Train Station is not easy to find.

R Davies: 16 January 2008; 8.2; + Lovely acommodation, huge rooms with patio doors. Peaceful setting. Great for golfers. Good choice at breakfast. Free Internet access available when we were there, great for catching up on e-mails, weather forecasts and tourist facilities.; - Location is some distance out of Amsterdam, although public transport is excellent - very frequent and reasonable cost. Meals other than breakfast are quite expensive in the clubhouse restaurant.

Once there is was impossible to send e-mail as the port was blocked 'for safety reasons'. Very very anoying, including the way the 'why' was responded upon by the desk manager.. 'It's your problem, not mine' Ar bar that offer no snacks after 10pm?

You need to have a car to get there.; - Some rooms are faar away from the reception, so you may have to walk quite a lot.

The room is very large and bright.; - It is a little difficult to find the Hotel, especially at night. Should be more tables, and instructions next to the road and in the city. The heating- air condition could not be turned off, it went constantly during the night, so it was a bit cold. Also the ventillation system was running, even after the lights were turned off. The safe was not working, and did not fix it in one day...

People sometimes cold at the reception / restaurant. 3,5km from the train station in Purmerend. Difficult to find the hotel. Breakfast very expenseive if not included in the room price.

There are many buses nerby the hotel hat can be taken to the city of Amsterdam. The surroundings of the hotel were splended.; - It was fairly distant from the city of Amsterdam. No direct bus connection from the train(from the airport) station to the hotel.

What great service.; - The only thing I think that needs improving at the Hampshire Golfhotel Waterland are the mattresses for the beds. While they were fairly comfortable, they were clearly old and a little lumpy. Also, driving directions to the hotel would be a great help. It is outside of Amsterdam and a little hard to find.

Anonymous: 15 October 2006; 6.4; + The hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood and the breakfast was wonderful.; - I was given the room almost at the end of the corridor. need to walk approx. 500m to reach our room. No coffee maker in the room. Lucky we didnt bring our little baby otherwise will be so inconvenience for us. I requested for a double bed but ended up we got two single bed that was joined together.

Plater: 22 September 2006; 9.0; + The public areas provided welcome accommodation although the evenings were extremely quiet and it was not always easy to find out which bar was open and when service might be available. The views from the restaurant area over the Golf Course were superb. Breakfast and service for meals excellent. Access to Public Transport (Bus)for Amsterdam easy with helpful directions and timetable offered by the reception staff.; - This is a large hotel with many rooms stretching a considerable way from the reception area. Our room was more than 250 meters from the check-in desk. The hotel was eventually helpful enough to offer another romm for the remainder of our stay. Checking-in and out was conducted in the Golf Shop not the greatest arrival experience and it took time to be attended to whilst queuing behind Golfers.

Up to 80 EUR for a twin/double room including breakfast for two and all taxes is an excellent offer. Ideal for people who appreciate tranquillity and pure air.; - A bit far out of town. Bus 107 takes 30 minutes from Amsterdam central station but runs on 15 minute intervals, peak hours every 10 minutes even.

Frank from California: 15 September 2006; 9.6; + This hotel is great. It far exceeded my expectations. Rooms and all public areas were large and clean. Breakfast was very satisfying, but do not expect gourmet. Althought croissants were always hot and crispy. This hotel is about 20 minutes by bus from the Center of Amsterdam, also requires walking about 8 blocks from the bus stop to the building entrance. Bus service is excellent. About every 15 minutes and always on time. They do not operate 24 hours, check to make sure it will work for you. The route they take has country and river views. Hotel has beautiful golf courses, automobile parking and free wireless internnet in the lobby area. Staying here worked very well for my wife and I. This is a beautiful country and people are friendly. Almost everyone speaks multiple languages, specially english. Allow youself enough days to enjoy it.; - None.
