Hotel Van der Valk Purmerend is a 3-star hotel, conveniently located near the centre of Purmerend. Within walking distance from the hotel there is a bus stop where you can catch a bus to Amsterdam Central Station. By car it is only a 20-minute drive to the capital of The Netherlands.
The friendly staff will gladly do all they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The continental breakfast buffet is served on Monday through Friday from 07:00 tot 10:00 h. and on weekends from 08:00 to 11:00 h.
In the atmospheric à la carte restaurant 'Beemsterpolder' guests can enjoy the French-Dutch cuisine. There are also vegetarian and seasonal dishes available here. The kitchen is open until 21:30 h. Lunch is served starting from 12:00 h., whereby guests can choose between the coffee lunch 'Waterland' or a lunch buffet.

Surroundings
The 'Beemsterpolder' is the first reclaimed land area in The Netherlands. The entire 'polder' is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its reclamation was accomplished in 1612. De Beemster also has more than 350 remarkable farm houses that are typical of farms in the province Noord-Holland. Two of them, 'De Eenhoorn' and 'De Lepelaar' are both located on the Middenweg in Beemster and date from the Dutch Golden Age.
