Nice stay.

• + Nice stay; nice hotel. There is a problem with the computertized wake-up call. It malfunctioned once, probably human error, but when it is functioning it can be as much as 20 minutes too early (better than 20 minutes too late!).

Reasonable accomodation, on an A+ plus location, for a good price.

• – Currently the hotel is in a rebuild phase, parking space problems. maintenace state of room (water damage on ceiling wall?) On my day there were more people then the capacity of the breakfast room would accomodate. Probably to many people in the same hour 0800-0900.

A Happy Customer who recommends it any time

• + One staff noticed that I was wrongly charged for two persons in the room, told me so and went ahead and made the changes in the bill. I won't have noticed it. So, I comment your staff.

Good hotel with friendly atmosphere

• + Location of the hotel is good, staffs are friendly which made us feel at home, internet access is provided free of charge to customers. Also it is quiet and there is no disturbance.

• + Its closeness to the EPO is excellent All staff were friendly, attentive and helpful
• – An empty showergel packet of a previous occupant had been left on the top of the shower cubicle wall A meeting area away from the dining room would have been useful - if there is such a room the staff failed to point it out to us despite us having files and paperwork on the dining table

• + One receptionnist was very nice and helpfull to us (only one !)
• – Welcome could have been warmer from the receptionist, we though we bothered her. It is a pity there is no chocolate drink at breakfast and no tisane "herbal tea" after dinner. I am sorry to tell you that food is not really good. In the room, the fridge is so noisy that we had to disconnect it at night

relative good value for a comfortable and friendly stay

• + The Hotel was great for what we needed it for, hence location was perfect. The staff were great and very helpful, price was ok, however still quite dear, even booking through hotels.nl We had a very pleasant stay and will use Bastion again in the future.
• – The only minus point is that whilst booking 2 nights with hotels.nl...the Bastion only had us down for 1 night. This was easily resolved on this occasion, however had they been full it could have caused great distress on both sides. Not sure what went wrong there, but it obviously did not register perhaps computer wise between hotels.nl and bastion.

Convenient hotel for visiting Shell.

Do not use this hotel in winter unless you like the cold!

• + Price not excessive, food very good, staff very friendly and helpful
• – The room each of us had was very cold, even with the heating in the room on full. When we mentioned this at teh reception when we checked out we were told this had never been mentioned before. We suggest you look at Tripadvisor - previous visitors have stated the rooms are cold. In summary because of this we would not stay again in the winter period.

Clean, peaceful safe but unmemorable

• + The hotel is clean, peaceful and very quite especially during weekends.Staff were proffessional. A nice place of refuge.
• – Whilst staff are proffesional they also need to be friendly, the two have to go together to make the guest feel welcome, especially if you come from another culture and from far away continent and alone. The senior male staff were friendly and proffesional too,however for the most part the junior female employees behaved as if they were doing you a favour for any request you make and they tended to keep their distance it was particulary hard for them to smile. Later on someone told me that the Dutch can be cold and distant. Also the hotel lacks any sort of entartainment. The rooms too can be quite hot even with the window open and with a ventilation fan working, which I found strange because the outside temperature was cold.
