The Best Western ART Hotel is a uniquely decorated 4-star hotel in Rotterdam's modern area Kop van Zuid, a former harbour area. The hotel is located in the Queen of the South, a hotel/apartment complex that was built in 2004 and has a fantastic view of the old Maashaven harbour and the skyline of Rotterdam. Every room has its own unique character and all rooms are centred around an impressive open area that stretches out over the twelve lowest floors. The lounge area, with an open fireplace, is the perfect place to relax or enjoy a pleasant drink. The rooms and common areas are decorated with pieces of modern art, beautiful carpets, and antique as well as modern furniture. Guests will be amazed at the hotel's unique use of colour and the artistic interiors.
The hotel's services, however, will prove to be equally impressive. The 104 rooms (among which are 16 luxury suites) are each equipped with excellent facilities: guests will enjoy the use of internet, a safe, a hi-fi set and a television with DVD player. All rooms also have a completely equipped kitchenette with a Senseo coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. In addition, the multilingual staff of the ART Hotel is at your service around the clock and guests can use the hotel's room service, laundry service, and complimentary newspaper.
The hotel is close to the convention and concert hall Ahoy and the Luxor Theatre. As such, those who go to see a show or concert in Rotterdam can end their day in style with a memorable night in the ART Hotel. The hotel is also right next to metro station Maashaven. The subway will take you to the inner city in just 5 minutes and also offers a good connection to the city's remaining areas.

In the morning guests can enjoy the hotel's delicious continental breakfast buffet, which is served from 07:00 to 10:00 h. on weekdays and from 08:00 to 11:00 h. on the weekend.
The hotel restaurant Thuis serves typical Dutch dishes made from pure Dutch ingredients, that characterize the same unique and artistic atmosphere as the ART hotel. - The view thru the windows is excellent. The bed is comfortable & the location to the conference which we were attending was good.

- Had a fantastic stay for a couple of nights in the hotel Just before Christmas. The location was perfect for me, and the room was totally magnificent. No complaints what so ever about the decor or room. Kitchen was excellent and the bathroom was great. Very clean, very comfortable, I had a very enjoyable stay. - Although you can park within the garage (costs 15 euro per day), there is a lot of parking place at the street, for free.
Breakfast was great and the people of the hotel were very kind and helpfull!
Room was very big (altough I would have decorated it a bit different, but that is just a matter of taste).

- The interior design of the hotel's shared spaces (i.e. lobby and hallways) is eclectic and beautiful.
- The staff could try being a little more informative - when I asked where the bar was I was sent to a sitting room (no alcohol / bar in sight) having waited 15 minutes no waitress appeared so I gave up on that one. Later I asked for directions to a cash machine - when I eventually found the location the shop was closed down. The rooms are not overly comfortable although they are quirky.

- enjoy rotterdam in here....
