The design hotel Golden Tulip Rotterdam-Centre is located in the centre of Rotterdam on the waterfront and at the foot of the Erasmus bridge. enjoyed stay despite minor hiccups

the location was good nearby city center and the views were good while having a meal trams stop outside the hotel plus it was very handy as you could see my neice's appartment from hotel

problems upon arrival no baby cot in room and i did phone before i travelled earlier in day to confirm this and another day i could not get in to my room to put the baby asleep as the room card would not work the staff were helpful breakfast was expensive

Great hotel - poor food/staff

A very nice room, great bed and fantastic view. Great location.

The menu at the Brasserie is simply a joke - what kind of hotel serve 'doner khebab' or XXL burger? By far the poorest choice of food i've ever seen in an hotel of this class. Staff at breakfast were still alseep from the night before and not very friendly or helpful. Definitely under the standard you'd expect for this kind of hotel.

In general a very nice Hotel to use as a base for tourists.

Reception desk service , excellent . Very helpful , pleasant staff .

Good location, close to Ahoy theatre, which was good for us. Got upgaded to a suite with a panoramic view - was breathtaking! Very clean, very modern, would definitely go back again.rnAlso right beside Metro stop, so easy to find after arriving by train.

Not close to any bakery/cafe for breakfast. Didn't want the full breakfast from the restaurant but did not have a bakery/cafe close by to grab a morning coffee or muffin.

An excellent hotel in every aspect

My Husband and I were extremely pleased with all aspects of the Golden Tulip hotel - especially as they gave him a surprise bowl of fruit for his birthday!

The only minus point is that the breakfast was rather expensive.

Great hotel on perfect location with few drawbacks...

- Shower in our room was very small/tight. - The linoleum/marmoleum in wood pattern on the floor of the rooms feels a bit cheap... Carpet or real wood or natural stone would have given a much better look

Design hotel on the outside, cheap on the inside.

Good location to the Metro and Tram stations. Easily reached from public transport. Late checkout without any additional charge! Good sound isolation between the rooms.

Didn't get waterfront room as ordered. But they changed our room on request, so we could see some of the river, at least. Terrible experience with the restaurant. We had to wait 1 hour to get our food. After 30min, they asked again what we had ordered. Neither did they accommodate our requeso on having the meet well done - It was all red inside. -Also the smallest menu I've ever seen. Expensive.

We were informed by e-mail we would have a Queen bed and river view. On arrival - no river view. We were given another room but only when we went to bed did we realise we had two beds pushed together - not a Queen bed. We needed a meal after the theatre but hotel restaurant closed 11pm. We struggled to find anywhere open and had quite a walk to find it..

nice hotel to stay in easy to get scure parking across the road if there car park is full good access from both sides of rotterdam a nice hotel to stay at if your making for hook of holland as its only 30km away from hotel. have stayed in this hotel before and will stay here again.

hotel is now non smoking as a smoke it wasent a big issue but i would have liked to have been notified about this as im a smoker they do have out side areas for smoking.

Having our own sauna was great and we made a lot of use of it. The views from the room great letting us watch the marathon having done the 10K. The bar snacks were good. Metro/tram straight outside made getting to Ahoy easy.

We took a taxi from your hotel to the train station. The taxi was standing in front of the hotel. The driver told us that there was a train accident and we can miss my flight and offer to take us to Schiphol for 95 Euro. ("Special hotel rate") We took the same taxi to the train station asked the information desk and then went by train ! to Schiphol - There was no train accident!! I have the receipt of this driver and can mail you a copy.

Fantastic location, so convenient to metro and tramstop. Lovely rooms, very clean and everything perfect. Very comfortable beds, slept better in your hotel than at home. Reception extremely helpful, needed an adaptor and was able to use it for the duration of stay, really a very pleasant experience and would recommend it and will be back. Towels changed every day and bed made, with staff never imposing and only coming in when we were out. The bar was great and we enjoyed being able to eat there too. All staff were extremely helpful and courteous and all spoke excellent English. Its a pleasure to be able to fill in this questionnaire and already brings back lovely memories. I really can't fault anything.

On the minus side - not much really except that we didn't book breakfast as I though it was expensive at €20 per person I think, although there was nowhere else to go for breakfast, so maybe it would have been worth it. I would have loved to be able to get tea and toast in the bar as a late breakfast/brunch but that wasn't possible. The bottled water in the room was also very expensive so I didn't use it but I guess the hotel rates are good so that's a way of bringing up the rate which, as its optional, isn't a complaint, just a comment. Also pringle crisps were part of the mini bar but not available in the bar to have with a drink which would have been nice.

Great location overlooking the Erasmusbrug and the waterfront; well-furnished room (homely yet well designed), friendly and efficient staff. Ideal for both businemss and leisure. Free WiFi internet facilities (although I didn't use them).

The smoke-filled bar, but this is Holland. The good news is that this hotel, along with the others in this country will be dragged into the 21st century from July when smoking is finally banned in all hotels are restaurants.

Hotel staff very friendly, prices reasonable, pool and sauna very welcome, and little used so lovely and private. Rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast wonderful.

Had to request a change of room due to not being given a waterside room. Flat screen TV had very poor signal and pay TV unavailable. Need to provide milk in rooms for us English tea drinkers!

Huge pile of broken window blinds in entranceway -poor first impression. Given room on 8th floor, found Do Not Disturb sign on door, went in anyway, room occupied! Very embarassing, back to reception and given new room. On checking out at 6.30 found Euro 15 breakfast charge on bill when breakfast had not even started being served. Lazy and careless.
