Good service, well attended by staff, but bad room isolation

• + Well attended by staff, especially at the reception, when i requested another room and a late check out.
• – Isolation of the room is not so good, I could hear the other guests'performances at night. Housekeepers were making a lot of noise. The showers did not work at the wellness centre I've stayed in this hotel in February, I had a good experience, but this time, there were some works (no swimming pool this time) and no information was given on this, not even at the reception.
• * my tip Check the wellness centre first is all ok (especially showers)

Once the construction is complete this will likebe a much better value

• – Not child friendly as restauarant had no options on menu for children. Car parking expensive. Breakfast - poor service in clearing tables and cleaning. Small rooms.

A very pleasant stay! Ideal location for Ahoy Stadium

• + Beds were very comfortable, probably the best I have stayed in. Nice bar area and food - staff very friendly.
• – Had to change room due to drilling works outside the bedroom. Also room service finishes at 11.30pm - as we were staying at the hotel to visit the Ahoy stadium and the concert finished late no food could be had.

Convenient location, friendly staff, overpriced breakfast

• – City view room is small and I found the mattresses to be spongy and not comfortable. Breakfast very over-priced. Lose the champagne and charge a more reasonable price. Not enough people want champagne to jusify inlcuding champagne in the basic price of breakfast. If people want champagne for breakfast then let them pay for it.

• – I had an early morning start and wished to have a sleep before dinner. I was woken up by an etremely loud drilling type noise which carried on intermittanly for 10 to 15 mins. I was also over charged by over 20euros on my invoce - it took 4 attempts to get the invoice correct. I settled the account of my colleague also, who was not asked on check in if he would like breakfast, so he was charge 23.50 euros - but I was asked if I would like breakfast and only charged 18 euros. I was charged for items i hadn't had from the mini bar.

• + Comfortable, luxuary class Hotel
• – Parking place not inherent to the Hotel category. Usually a hotel parkplace makes part of the Hotel service and NO extra costs should be calculated.

Centrally located, good basic hotel.

• + The triple room was spacious. A good option to have a swim after a whole day spent traveling. Very central location and easy to reach via Metro from the central station. Wonderful view over the harbour and bridge from the restaurant. Hotel breakfast was delicious, very good selection of food. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Check-in/out was quick and easy. Found a good deal on internet to make this stay reasonably priced.
• – Sound-proofing not good, I was kept awake by other guests returning to their rooms. Our room, although spacious, was a bit utilitarian - some carpeting would have been welcome. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although we did receive a kettle when we asked for one. Couldn't get TV to work. Food in the brasserie was tasty but overpriced, refused to serve tap water, and we were forced to buy a bottle of water for 5 euro. I would eat somewhere else next time.

• + Great service, gorgeous location with lovely views, comfortable rooms. Long hours for sauna and pool. Use of bathrobe. Friendly staff. Screen in lobby showing current weather, train info, etc. Free internet terminals in lobby. Nice breakfast (including champagne on Xmas weekend!).

Lovely city break in a great location recommended hotel

• + The first night i stayed i had a few minor problem with the room regarding noise of the lift (which was right opposite my door) This gave me a very restless night. The hotel reception staff where more than perfect to help resolve the problem they did not only change our room they upgraded us. The staff, location and privacy of this hotel is very good. Also the pool, sauna, steam room and gym facilities (which are inclusive of price) are a recommended use very relaxing and tranquil with beautiful view of the city. Any water side room again has lovely scenery of the city , water and boats. I have stayed in this hotel two times and would recommend this to anyone for a city break in Rotterdam. I went to Rotterdam for 4 days with my mum and both found the Hotel lovely and would definately recommend this hotel for a short or long stay.
• – apart from the noise of the lift on the first night i do not have any minus points as i had a very pleasurable and welcoming second stay at Intel Hotel Leuvenhaven.

• – I didn't like the few days before the Carnival,lots of guest came in,which i didn't have a problem,it's a Hotel.the were very loud... smoke... in there rooms which they fume came into my room,that affected me badly,needed to stay put after a while cause my sinus irritated me for a while after all that smoke.. they have so many kids i guess they didn't know what to do... the kids was up and down like every where,late at night the run up and down on my floor and often knock on my door which at moment damn it was 1pm i was sleeping....,these ppl I realize from Curacao.I am very sorry to say but the were very disgusting,and inconsiderate to other ppl who stay at the hotel.But i do understand when u book ppl u really don't know who u book,overall i love the Hotel stay and i plan to return again.

Overpriced

• + Nice hotel.
• – The price was really high (210 euro- during the Jazz festival) a night and there was no breakfast included. For that price in any other hotel you get a lot more than just a room. I booked it as I didn't have other choice. I was asked to pay city tax of 37 euro- only after I payed it and arrived in Amsterdam, I realised that the city tax was included in my voucher that I've paid at the time of booking. Not Fare!

As always the hotel maintains its hospitality for Jazz Lovers.

• + As always the hotel caters specially for its Jazz festival guests. Late breakfast, late bar and travel tickets, free internet access etc. Very friendly and helpful staff. The whole hotel atmosphere is vibrant. Hotel right next to Metro Station and 5 mins walk from shopping area.
• – One unfortunate incident when room was not properly cleaned, bed not properly made, bins not emptied, used cups just replaced. This has never happened, must have been a cleaner trying to get home early. The room AC wasn't as effective as I would like but then it was a very hot weekend. Also realised the breakfast discount wasn't applied to my bill. Although the breakfast was great.

Beautiful view, close to the city center and public transportation

• + Very close to the city. Metro and tram station right in front of the hotel. Panoramic rooms offer a beautiful view of the river and city.
• – The bathrooms are extremely small. I felt a bit claustrophobic in the rain shower. The bathtub was too narrow to sit in comfortably. I initially booked just a waterview room, then later cancelled it and reserved a top floor panoramic room. When I went to check in at the hotel I found that instead of canceling the 1 room I had requested, they had cancelled both. (???) Luckily, there was a room available so the problem was resolved.

Good stay, but not fantastic

• – maintenance man came into my room while I was there to fix a light?! why?! couldnt he have done that another day?? Not impressed by the taxi company you use. Told me to get a taxi around the kuip stadium.

Perfect but...

• – The first night (saturday) was very noisy, I almost did not sleep. The second night was a little better. It is not the responsibility of the hotel but it is very disappointing when you expect to have a relaxing WE with your fiancé.

Inntel- an eyecatcher & definitely a good choice

• + the staff was very nice. we loved the panorama lift! the breakfast was overwhelming, everytime a plate was taken away a new one came in 2 minutes later, so the buffet was always full even 10 minutes before ending time. GREAT!!
• – unfortunately the sauna wasn't working, so only turkish steaming bath was available.

Great hotel - poor food/staff

• + A very nice room, great bed and fantastic view. Great location.
• – The menu at the Brasserie is simply a joke - what kind of hotel serve 'doner khebab' or XXL burger? By far the poorest choice of food i've ever seen in an hotel of this class. Staff at breakfast were still alseep from the night before and not very friendly or helpful. Definitely under the standard you'd expect for this kind of hotel.

Design hotel on the outside, cheap on the inside.

• + Good location to the Metro and Tram stations. Easily reached from public transport. Late checkout without any additional charge! Good sound isolation between the rooms.
• – Didn't get waterfront room as ordered. But they changed our room on request, so we could see some of the river, at least. Terrible experience with the restaurant. We had to wait 1 hour to get our food. After 30min, they asked again what we had ordered. Neither did they accommodate our requeso on having the meet well done - It was all red inside. -Also the smallest menu I've ever seen. Expensive.

Excellent Hotel

• + Booked the hotel as a base for the Rotterdam marathon. it couldn't have been better. Excellent staff, very helpful.

• – Our car was blocked in the hotel car park by another car. The hotel customers couldn't see who it belong to. We had to wait 3 hours to be free to leave. It causes very uncomfortable situation. We got the car park expensive back and two sandwiches.

• – hotel is now non smoking as a smoke it wasent a big issue but i would have liked to have been notified about this as im a smoker they do have out side areas for smoking.

Really really great hotel

• + Having our own sauna was great and we made a lot of use of it. The views from the room great letting us watch the marathon having done the 10K. The bar snacks were good. Metro/tram straight outside made getting to Ahoy easy.

• – We took a taxi from your hotel to the train station. The taxi was standing in front of the hotel. The driver told us that there was a train accident and we can miss my flight and offer to take us to Schiphol for 95 Euro. ("Special hotel rate") We took the same taxi to the train station asked the information desk and then went by train ! to Schiphol - There was no train accident!! I have the receipt of this driver and can mail you a copy.

• + Fantastic location, so convenient to metro and tramstop. Lovely rooms, very clean and everything perfect. Very comfortable beds, slept better in your hotel than at home. Reception extremely helpful, needed an adaptor and was able to use it for the duration of stay, really a very pleasant experience and would recommend it and will be back. Towels changed every day and bed made, with staff never imposing and only coming in when we were out. The bar was great and we enjoyed being able to eat there too. All staff were extremely helpful and courteous and all spoke excellent English. Its a pleasure to be able to fill in this questionnaire and already brings back lovely memories. I really can't fault anything.
• – On the minus side - not much really except that we didn't book breakfast as I though it was expensive at €20 per person I think, although there was nowhere else to go for breakfast, so maybe it would have been worth it. I would have loved to be able to get tea and toast in the bar as a late breakfast/brunch but that wasn't possible. The bottled water in the room was also very expensive so I didn't use it but I guess the hotel rates are good so that's a way of bringing up the rate which, as its optional, isn't a complaint, just a comment. Also pringle crisps were part of the mini bar but not available in the bar to have with a drink which would have been nice.

• – bad hygiene on toilet. gym facilities turned out to one facility only. bed had wheels and moved around even when watching TV. Hotel had registred two people in one room, instead of two single rooms

• – The price is too high for what I got: a backyard low level room with practically no view except the car park...

• + Great location overlooking the Erasmusbrug and the waterfront; well-furnished room (homely yet well designed), friendly and efficient staff. Ideal for both businemss and leisure. Free WiFi internet facilities (although I didn't use them).
• – The smoke-filled bar, but this is Holland. The good news is that this hotel, along with the others in this country will be dragged into the 21st century from July when smoking is finally banned in all hotels are restaurants.

• + Location excellent. Within walking distance of all major sites.
• – Swimmingpool and sauna were under construction. One could not reach the upper floor to admire view. This was reserved for conference groups.

• – lack of concierge facilities meant getting a taxi difficult having to queue behind checking out/in customers

Very embarassing, back to reception and given new room. On checking out at 6.30 found Euro 15 breakfast charge on bill when breakfast had not even started being served. Lazy and careless.

• – Decor needs updating...[already] unless you like the 1980's [teal/black and red]very odd room layouts, fake wood floors and cheesy/deadly solar tanning lights in the shower. Too much fashion...not enough style. Staff seemed very myopic and were not familiar with nearby Cultural attractions nor tram destinations - even though a major tram stop is right outside the hotel door and the architecturally infamous Kunsthal was right down the street. Confused indifference at best.

• – Restaurant and bar menu is very limited. 3 lifts by front door were out of service. No milk in room for tea/coffee. I think this hotel is rated as a 4 star - more like 2/3

• + The view was excellent and so was the location: it was very easy to go to the Maritime Museum and the other museum we wanted to visit.

For example, we asked for cutlery to be brought up to the room and the reply was:'sorry we don't do that in this hotel, you can come down and collect it yourself'. This is simply not good enough for a 4 star and pretty expensive hotel. The other point: Not baby friendly, no capacity to solve problems in a proper manner. Our baby pusher did not fit in our room and there was simply no solution. You would expect service in a situation like that, the staff tried to their best, but their best is unfortunately not as good as anywhere else we have stayed (almost all outside the Netherlands). I am sorry to say that I will not recommend this hotel to any of our friends and family.

• – Zeer kleine badkamer; toilet staat, zeker voor grote mensen, niet ideaal. Onduidelijke/onvoldoende uitleg over openen raam. Parkeer garage, bij het hotel, geen duidelijk bewegwijzering en slecht bereikbaar. Hotel heeft absoluut een opknapbeurt nodig. De winterschilder kan zo beginnen. Design-feeling is ver te zoeken.

Heel goed hotel met heel lief personeel

• + Het personeel was heel meelevend en behulpzaam, vooral na de oogoperatie van mijn man. Men hielp ons op alle gebieden. Heel veel complimenten van ons. We hadden ook een hele mooie kamer met zicht op het water, genieten dus.

echte city view was het niet

• + Hygiene was excellent , zeer schoon, heerlijke schone lakens !
• – Geen champagne gekregen , en ik had een city view kamer maar vond het echt geen city view ik zat op 2 hoog, voor een echte city view moet je hotelkamer toch op een hogere verdieping zijn , zodat je echt een uitstekende uitzicht hebt.
• * my tip Neem 100,- borg mee als je geen cerditcard hebt !

een heerlijk weekendje weg

• + ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam personeel heerlijk zwembad geweldig ontbijt
• – parkeren erg duur

zeer lechte bediening in brasserie

• + fijne nette behandeling bij receptie
• – In de brasserie gaven ze t verkeerde voorgerecht heel snel nog voordat je soeplepel of bestek 1 sec neerlegde werd je bord of kom al onder je neus weggehaald, geen manieren toe tv met voetbal op stond en mensen keken werd ruw een andere zender op gezet zonder te vragen zat u te kijken ? nee al met al te jonge bediening en zeker zo geen manieren

Goed en praktisch gelegen hotel

• + ligging
• – Geen ontbijtje erbij. Prijs ontbijt 23,50 vind ik te hoog.
• * my tip Kijk naar een hotel in de omgeving die wel gewoon een ontbijtje aanbied voor wellicht 5 Euro meer.

Prima hotel met mooie kamer en goed ontbijt

• + Een mooi uitzicht, goede service
• – De wellness faciliteiten stellen niets voor. Het ontbijt was heerlijk maar wel aan de dure kant. Parkeren kost 26euro per dag.

Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert .

• – Der Preis für das Frühstück , obwohl sehr reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig , ist relativ hoch . Man sollte die Möglichkeit haben das Zimmer inklusive Frühstück zu buchen .

• – the pool was dirty, the sauna didn’t work properly.

Dit hotel zal u niet ontgoochelen wegens ligging en prijs / kwaliteit.

• + Locatie, prijs/kwaliteit, vriendelijke service
• – Geen gratis parking aan het hotel (22€ per dag) en niet altijd beschikbaar. Nabijgelegen betaalparking is 26€ per dag.
• * my tip Zeker het ontbijt in het hotel proberen indien dit niet inbegrepen is.

Goed hotel met vriendelijk personeel en 'n geweldige ligging.

• + Mooie kamer, goede ligging, mooi uitzicht, vriendelijk personeel, welkom gevoel.
• – Dat 't zwembad en sauna gedeelte niet zijn afgescheiden en 't niet prettig is om met je kind binnen te komen en er zitten mensen naakt op de ligstoelen. Ligt misschien aan mij, maar dit kwam bij mij niet zo over bij de recencies van 't hotel.

Zeer aan te bevelen en centrale ligging! Metro voor de deur!

• + Prima locatie, zeer mooi afgewerkte kamer, uitgebreide minibar, heerlijke sauna, lekker bad, super uitzicht op de 14e verdieping! Zeer aan te bevelen! Metro voor de deur, perfect totaalplaatje!
• – Beperkte parkeerruimte en moeilijk te bereiken, alternatief parkeerkelder de boompjes, kan je beter direkt naar toe rijden! Ontbijt ruim aan de prijs voor 23,50 pp!
• * my tip Parkeren in parkeergarage de boompjes, goed bewaakt en beschermd! Ga lekker ontbijten in de stad, voor Nederlandse begrippen is het ontbijt à 23,50 pp te duur! Ook al zit aan het water en kijk je naar de Erasmus brug
