The 3-star Maritime Hotel has a wonderful location with a view over the Erasmusbrug and the Maas river in Rotterdam. Near the hotel you can take the tram or subway, which enable you to swiftly reach destinations such as Rotterdam Central Station, the Nieuwe Luxor Theater (new Luxor theatre), football stadium De Kuip and Ahoy. In front of the hotel you can take the Fast Ferry towards the city of Dordrecht or the watertaxi and the well known Spido, which is a fun boat tour along the impressive Rotterdam harbour.
The Maritime Hotel was built in the year 2000 on top of the 'Zeemanshuis', a communal monument. This unique piece of architecture houses 165 comfortable rooms, which are equipped with a television, free in-house movie channels, radio and an alarm clock. Most of the rooms have a private shower and toilet. In the hotel there are also a bar, a restaurant and a (souvenir)shop.

Great location, great breakfast, clean room.
+
Really enjoyed the stay, the breakfast and all the models and photos of ships around the hotel and breakfast room. Good location on habourside and near to centre of city. Bathroom was big, bright and clean.
–
Room was a bit small for four but we only stayed one night so not a big issue. Had to pay to park the car under the erasmus bridge and it cost 26 euros from evening to 4pm the following day.
*my tipShort distance to cube houses which are well worth visiting, the statues in coolsingel and the maritime museum.

Location super!
–
Everything was clean and new but no atmosphere what so ever. Good if you want to sleep somewhere on business. No place to bring your girlfriend.
Breakfast is much the same, it fills but scores no bonus points.

Expensive budget hotel with great location
+
The location is fantastic and (if you get a room with one) the river and bridge view is outstanding. Great public transport links with the tram outside the front door and a Metro station nearby. The shopping and museum areas are also a short walk away.
–
I would recomend NOT to eat at the restaurant, as the food is very basic. The rooms are a bit dated and rooms without a view overlook other rooms!

the receptionists are not quite helpful and the walls are too thin you can hear the doors slamping early in the morning or late in the night and also the tourists talking in the halls

a no-no for the business traveller
+
Well situated.
–
Not at all suited for the business traveller. No office facilities. Staff clueless. Mainly aimed at sailors in transit.
