The hotel is situated between the Coolsingel and the Lijnbaan, home to the well-known sunken shopping street, which Rotterdammers affectionately dub the 'Koopgoot' (Shopping Gutter). The four-star NH Atlanta Rotterdam is one of the few remaining monumental buildings in Rotterdam. The beautiful marble floors, the Art Deco elements and chandeliers give this hotel an authentic ambience. Whatever the reason for your visit to Rotterdam, everything can be found within a stone's throw from the hotel. You can enjoy a great day of shopping in the 'Koopgoot', and business events can take place at the World Trade Centre. You can enjoy drinks and dinner at one of the many restaurants and bars in the hotel's surrounding area.
The hotel is easily accessible by public transport and by car. Rotterdam Central Station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. There is a large 24-hour car park at the Bijenkorf department store, which is next door.
The hotel rooms are fitted with facilities such as air conditioning, bath/shower combination, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe and free wireless Internet. The hotel also offers a wake-up service. Business meetings, receptions, parties and weddings can also be held at the NH Atlanta Rotterdam. Four out of five meeting rooms still have original features and as such exude a unique atmosphere of the 1930's. On the seventh floor of the hotel is the 'Daktuin', a roof terrace offering a magnificent view of Rotterdam.

Great Location and Service but Book Early to Get a Good Deal
+
Great location in the centre. Had a great nights sleep, really comfortable bed and the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in - our room was on the top floor and there was no noise from traffic or other guests over the whole weekend.
Staff were always friendly and when we arrived slightly early they let us check in right away.
Room was clean and comfortable, overall a really pleasant stay.
–
Room was a bit too cold when we came back in the evening and the heating is not adjustable.
We got a good deal by booking early, but I probably wouldn't have been as happy if we'd paid the full rate, it is a bit overpriced for what it is.

Great location and food, lacking in services for the business person.
+
Location and breakfast.
–
As a business traveller not having internet in the rooms, air conditioning or a decent iron/ironing board to keep the shirts under control puts the hotel in the 3* category not 4*. I stayed in the hotel regularly when it was the Tulip, in all aspects other than service and the food, it could do with some upgrading.

OK if you get a good rate. Dated, no free internet.
+
Reasonable location. English TV (BBC 1 & 2). Cheaper than the Manhattan (although the Manhattan is far superior). No hassle getting taxis.
–
Dated decor, staff pestering me for my email adress when I checked in (so they could sign me up for their loyalty card without asking me if it wanted it or not!), no free internet access, poor selection of toiletries. Prices in mini bar were crazy expensive - drink the tapwater!

we really liked the toiletries you provided and the amount of effort you took to package them. it shown the care you went into ensuring customer satisfaction.
The rooms are impeccable as always, stayed previously in NH Heidelberg in 2005, the standard remains high as expected.
–
one thing we discovered was that the hotel cannot check our bookings via the confirmation number if a physical printout is not presented at the counter. this is not convenient as many of us are restricting ourselves from unnecessary printouts to help save the environment

Women's room scheme, with special toiletries, magazines, amenities, i really appreciated it, as single business travellers are usually men and executive rooms tend to cater to them, there are usually few perks for single female business travellers, it was greatly appreciated.
–
no free internet access, room prices are substantial enough to warrant free internet. Hotels in the netherlands, in general, could improve this service overall, most charge exorbitant rates for internet access, this comes accross as unclassy to the business traveler
