STROOM is a trendy design hotel in a former power station. The studios each have their own design and feel to them. Most studios have a bathroom floor with a 6m high glass ceiling, a bath tub with a water volume of 500 litres, and a Grohe rain shower suitable for two persons. The mezzanine above this bathrooom floor has a large Coco-mat bed, an iPod nano and a beamer with a television and DVD projection. The hotel's architecture has cleverly merged its industrial past with contemporary design.
At Kitchen restaurant you can have a leisurely breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast is served during weekdays from 08:00 - 12:00, and at weekends from 09:00 - 12:00. On sunny days it's also possible to have a meal or a drink on the outdoor terrace or on the roof terrace. The hotel offers a multimedia room, which is suitable for receptions as well as business meetings.

The STROOM hotel is located near the Delfshaven harbour in Rotterdam. From the banks, you can admire the large sea vessels that sail down the Nieuwe Maas. You can also venture on a round trip of the harbour, which starts at the Erasmusbrug bridge. Rotterdam has much more in store. You can visit museums such as the Kunsthal and Boijmans van Beuningen, admire the city from the top of the Euromast tower, or follow the architecture route.

so nice to stay there
Difficult to find as no signal or indication to go to. Had to turn around in town before findinf the hotel (I had no navigation system)
Nice hotel room (Mezzanine with the room). Very nice people.
When someone is in the corridor you will notice it, which is normally ok as people just walk there, but some people were doing some picture shooting...
Funny hotel for tourists, not for business traveller
Modern style, spacious rooms. Large bath tub, projector TV, etc. If you are into all this, you'll like it.
Personell tries to make the best of it, but didn't follow hotel-education
Poor unreliable internet connection
Not prepared for business traveller, more for tourists
Breakfast only starts at 0800
Draft beer is primarily water because of wrong settings of bar equipment

Funky convenient hotel....
The hotel, the room and services has all the necessary amenities, the restaurant and bar were very nice. The salmon canneloni is great! we liked the modern funky style of the hotel. The cocomat bed was very comfortable!
we stayed in studio 1 - The room had quite a few technical and functionality problems - the aircon is very confusing to operate, we took 1 hour to establish how it worked after sweating for a while, the tap in the bathroom only ran hot water until we realised the cold water input pipe under the sink had been turned off? the room overlooked the delivery loading bay and refuse area, it was very noisy in the morning and also very smelly. there is damp behind the sliding door of the toilet due to water from the shower, the shower although very nice also leaked water all over the floor in the bedroom.
