Description

The Novotel Amsterdam Airport is ideally situated in Badhoevedorp, close to several shops and bars. Amsterdam city centre is 10 kilometres away and Schiphol Airport is located at 5 kilometres from the hotel. The hotel has ample parking space, a free shuttle bus and various spa facilities.

This 4-star hotel is the ideal accommodation for travellers who arrive or depart from Schiphol Airport. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport between 04:35 and 01:50 h. Guests that book the Park, Sleep and Take Off arrangement can park their car for free at the hotel while they are on holiday.

This hotel offers a lot more than just a convenient place to stay for travellers. During your stay you can use the swimming pool, sauna and Turkish steam bath for free. At a small charge you can also use the fitness, squash and tennis facilities that are located in the sports centre adjacent to the hotel. It is a normal hotel
we had a problem. the receptionist had a wrong room number and as a consequence of this the first day nobody cleaned the room the second night a young couple came into the room with a key while we were slept. He was reported to reception the following morning, was surprised but did not apologize at all.
bread and buns from the buffet lunch was not fresh every day, fruit juice with plenty of water and was not always equally varied.

We arrived at Schiphol after a 10 hour flight It was raining cats an dogs, and we tried to enter the internet address into our tomtom which was Sloterweg 299 at Schiphol. The navigation appliance couldn't find it, as the right address was: Sloterweg 299 at 1171 Badhoevedorp. We did run around for more than 1 hour, and finally somebody told us to go to the DORINT Hotel... Fatal error in the internet!!!!

perfect stay if you have an early flight !

did not get the early morning call we asked for when i asked at the desk at 540am the girl had placed it in the day befores call which i was not very happy about but luckily as woke early we made the airport for 630am in time.

Was much better than we had expected
The rooms were comfortable and the internet facilities worked well too. Breakfast was very good Transportation to & from the airport also convenient
The choice of food in the restaurant was quite limited - perhaps one should advise locations of others within walking distance.Apparently at the fitness centre close by there was quite a variety. Climbing stairs into the lobby with suitcases was quite tedious - the lift for this did not seem to be functioning properly

Too far from everywhere
The hotel was clean, and breakfast buffet was good, although very expensive.
The hotel is nowhere near close to the airport - in fact it is quite far. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport is infrequent - at about half hour or one hour gaps, and it is also very very crowded - it is a very uncomfortable, long bus journey to the hotel and back. It is a complete waste of time to go from there to the airport, vis 3 other hotels where it picks up and drops people as well, and then go to the city center by train. It's a much better idea to live somewhere near city center, or Dam square.

Unlucky with the bedroom given
Courtesy bus to and from airport. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
The room I was given was fitted out for a disabled person and I felt wasn't ideal for me. The bed was uncomfortable and it had a wet floor shower which wasn't ideal for someone able-bodied.

Great hotel!
I had a wonderful stay. An early check-in at 10AM was no problem, and the hotel is located a stone's throw from the Schiphol airport. Transportation was easy with the free shuttle going between the hotel and the airport (where you could board a train into the city).

Convenient and helpful
Within easy reach of the aiport. Shuttle bus very helpful. Staff were also happy to help in finding train times.

The hotel has all basic amenaties, was very tidy and hospitable. Staff very professional and helpful in responding affirmtaively to all requests, including u.s. type computer adapter plug. Well done.
Strongly recommend to shorten the shuttle bus intervals. I paid a taxi 30 Euros becuase after waiting in the cold for 25 minutes for the shuttle, i was convinced it was not coming anytime soon.

I have stayed there before. It seemed more elegant this time. Maybe some remodeling was done. It always was clean and it was great to be able to eat in the lounge before 6 p.m. Very pleasant staff. A nice breakfast was there early in the morning. The bus was on time to take us to the airport. Thanks everyone!!

Night staff did not have our booking available, did not know what to do with our booking number, and charged us 50 Euro more than the quoted price on your site. The morning staff still couldn't find our reservation but was willing to credit back the amount that they overcharged us. Breakfast buffet was 19 Euro per person/OUCH!

After a 24 hour journey from Australia, it was wonderful to be able to access our room on arrival at 7.30 am. Thankyou!!!!! The shuttle bus was great. We loved that. The pool was wonderful. It was warm and very clean. Thankyou. I would certainly come back to this hotel.
We were told of the shuttle bus but were not given information to help us identify the bus, or information about the frequency of the bus. We waited on the footpath in the cold for a long time after a long flight, not knowing when the bus would come or which bus to catch.

By and large, we had a wonderful, short stay. Hard to get a real feeling for the hotel since we were there for such a short time.
The price of breakfast was almost 20 euro each, and as far as we could tell there was no other choice; i.e. just pastry and coffee. For my wife and me this would have cost almost half as much as our hotel room!! You really need to give additional choices for breakfast.

Very nice room, comfortable bed, good food in restaurant, beautiful pool. I will definately plan to stay with you again in the future.
My evening restaurant charge was booked to the wrong room, and this took a bit of sorting our upon checkout. I still do not know what my final bill will be because I had to catch the shuttle before the problem was resolved.

Manager on duty (evening of Wed 23 May) kindly assisted with internet access and printing of boarding passes.
1) We had a no-smoking room on the 1st floor and could smell cigarette smoke coming up from the lobby area. 2) Mattress sloped down towards the middle of the bed. 2) Rude cleaning staff. 3) Lobby shop assistant busy with a personal phone call while I made a purchase.

My only minus point is the rather long time for the transit from the airport to the hotel (25 minutes). This is caused by a roughly 10-minute period when the bus sits at the IBIS.

At checkout, they lowered our rate back to the booked rate, no questions asked. Service was excellent. The meal was also good in the restaurant. Great location (quiet, typical Dutch neighborhood with grocery stores nearby). Good airport access via shuttle bus.
We were offered a room upgrade at check-in, which we thought declined but at checkout, we discovered our room rate reflected the upgrade price.

The people working at the Novotel are very friendly.
The shuttle service is not good.The buses are always completely full.There are 3 hotels on the shuttle's schedule and Novotel is the last one.Too many times did the shuttle arrive at novotel with absolutely no room left for us or our luggage.
