+ Novotel schiphol was for us a client friendly and wel positioned hotel, that was clean comfortable, and enjoyable to stay.

- SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE TO THE AIRPORT TERMINAL WAS A LITTLE CHAOTIC.

+ easy access to airport

- waiting time at airport/hotel bus stop at airport 30-45 minutes. This could have been a one off but other hotel buses seemed to come every 15-20 minutes.

+ Excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff. Room clean with lovely bathroom.

- Only downside was 2 single doonas for a king bed? And both the pillows were lumpy - not ideal for a good nights sleep.

+ Dinner was enjoyable and well presented by attentive staff.The room was comfortable, but see below.

- On a fairly warm and uncomfortable evening, it was most disappointing to be told by Reception staff that the 'air conditioning' only blew air at the ambient temperature without actually cooling it. I find this quite amazing for a modern hotel and believe that the staff may have got this wrong, and that the real reason actually was that energy was being saved. Coming from Canada where we were until recent days still using heating to keep warm, a more appropriate temperature really ought to be avaialble for the international traveller, looking to catch up on some sleep.

+ As a business traveller, it is great tp find a place to unwind and prepare for the next leg of the journey. Your hotel offers great service and the timely shuttle to the airport help keeps you on schedule.

- Would be nice to have an option of indicating when booking online that you are travelling in a group, which may allow booking rooms near each other.

- two safes, both out of order ... one got fixed expensive WiFi internet (should be free/included) stupid bathroom door (doesn't block light and no lock) breakfast buffet was not refilled fast enough when it got crowded

- Didn't enjoy having two single duvets on a double bed. Room was a little noisy near the lift.

+ Baby cot was available immediately, even though we hadn't previously booked it. Very early check-in not a problem (due to flight arrival time).

- Took 30 min from airport (waiting for shuttle bus + on road), and had to take bus back to airport to get into Amsterdam city (i.e. 1 hour each direction from hotel to city).

+ You can be proud of the staff in the restaurant. They are really kind. Specially the manager in the breakfast time.

- I have never met with so terrible reception staff like they have in the hotel. They do not inform the guests correctly. They do not tell true things and they do not keep the promisses.....

+ Mooi hotel, rustig gelegen en toch dicht bij het vliegveld en de stad Amsterdam. We hebben het bad en de sauna erg genoten. We waren heel erg tevreden en kiezen uw hotel weer als we weer in de regio Amsterdam zijn. Super!

+ we had a problem. the receptionist had a wrong room number and as a consequence of this the first day nobody cleaned the room the second night a young couple came into the room with a key while we were slept. He was reported to reception the following morning, was surprised but did not apologize at all.

- bread and buns from the buffet lunch was not fresh every day, fruit juice with plenty of water and was not always equally varied.

+ Very friendly, very clean, excellent organization

- We arrived at Schiphol after a 10 hour flight It was raining cats an dogs, and we tried to enter the internet address into our tomtom which was Sloterweg 299 at Schiphol. The navigation appliance couldn't find it, as the right address was: Sloterweg 299 at 1171 Badhoevedorp. We did run around for more than 1 hour, and finally somebody told us to go to the DORINT Hotel... Fatal error in the internet!!!!

- did not get the early morning call we asked for when i asked at the desk at 540am the girl had placed it in the day befores call which i was not very happy about but luckily as woke early we made the airport for 630am in time.

+ The rooms were comfortable and the internet facilities worked well too. Breakfast was very good Transportation to & from the airport also convenient

- The choice of food in the restaurant was quite limited - perhaps one should advise locations of others within walking distance.Apparently at the fitness centre close by there was quite a variety. Climbing stairs into the lobby with suitcases was quite tedious - the lift for this did not seem to be functioning properly

+ The hotel was clean, and breakfast buffet was good, although very expensive.

- The hotel is nowhere near close to the airport - in fact it is quite far. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport is infrequent - at about half hour or one hour gaps, and it is also very very crowded - it is a very uncomfortable, long bus journey to the hotel and back. It is a complete waste of time to go from there to the airport, vis 3 other hotels where it picks up and drops people as well, and then go to the city center by train. It's a much better idea to live somewhere near city center, or Dam square.

+ Courtesy bus to and from airport. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

- The room I was given was fitted out for a disabled person and I felt wasn't ideal for me. The bed was uncomfortable and it had a wet floor shower which wasn't ideal for someone able-bodied.

+ I had a wonderful stay. An early check-in at 10AM was no problem, and the hotel is located a stone's throw from the Schiphol airport. Transportation was easy with the free shuttle going between the hotel and the airport (where you could board a train into the city).

- The irritating suddenly decreasing level in one of the corridors, presumably because an architect or builder got it slightly wrong. Frequency of the shuttle is a bit lower than I would have expected.

- Douche was kapot. Boeking was niet doorgekomen. De afhandeling hiervan was niet bepaald klantvriendelijk of behulpzaam. Moet zelf achter de dubbele betaling aanbellen!

+ The hotel has all basic amenaties, was very tidy and hospitable. Staff very professional and helpful in responding affirmtaively to all requests, including u.s. type computer adapter plug. Well done.

- Strongly recommend to shorten the shuttle bus intervals. I paid a taxi 30 Euros becuase after waiting in the cold for 25 minutes for the shuttle, i was convinced it was not coming anytime soon.
