+ Good location near to airport, spacious rooms, free wireless internet connection.

- - No tea making facility in the room - No magnifying mirror in the bathroom - Bathroom tub door is not long enough and leads to spillage of water on floor whilst taking bath - Curtains cover the heater in the bedroom, they should be shortened to above the heater exposed area

+ Staff very professional and yet quite friendly.

- Smoking facilities are negligible. I think you shouold set aside 10 rooms to cater for smokers. As an overseas traveller (and hence awake at different hours), it was pretty poor to have to go outside the front of the hotel during the night (or even behind the kitchen area on the ground floor). this was un0pleasant especially because it was raining.

+ Clean and pleasant rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is very convenient for accessing central Amsterdam via a 10 minute bus ride that stops outside the hotel and runs frequently late into the evening.

+ The personnel were very helpful in giving directions for getting into town. The shuttle to and from the airport was easy and free. The driver was very professional and provided excellent service. We had a light dinner in the evening at the bar area. Our waiter went out of his way to provide shared portions AND non menu items for our group. Excellent!!

- Free lobby coffee would have been a lovely touch!!!

+ The staff was very friendly and helpful, I was able to store a piece of luggage for 5 days. The shuttle was convenient and the driver on Sunday (18-7-10) was very helpful to me.

- The air conditioner in rm. 161 didn't work very well. My husband and I stayed there earlier in the week in rm 129 and the AC worked really well so I had something to compare it with. The hook-up to WiFi didn't work. at all. The breakfast price of 21 Euro seemed a bit high. It would have been nice to have coffee/tea set up in the room..

+ Excellent location. Reception Desk staff(excellent), Restaurant staff(excellent) Shuttle on time 90% of the time

- We were at the hotel for 4 nights and the room was cleaned but never received fresh glasses after the first night. Carpets are very faded and worn. No coffee or tea in the room. Shampoo was not replaced after the first night stay. No hand soap, only bath soap provided and it was about the size of your thumb. This is 2010, free internet WiFi should be in all rooms. Shuttle bus drivers were prompt and van comfortable but the drivers drive very fast around corners and bumps so you get tossed around if you are not holding on tight.

- - Shuttle was not there. 35 Min. waiting time was to long. - electronic booking confirmation was correct (2 romms for 1 night)- at arrival, reservation was only made for 1 personen for 2 nights - long checking after long waiting for airport bus and long working day (5 a.m. - 20 p.m.).

+ Shuttle driver very pleasant--originally from Iran. Outdoor area next to diningroom/ bar area--very pleasant setting Reception employees helpful, courteous.

- Long walk to room down a long corridor to elevator and then back down a long corridor on the floor of my room. Elevator too discretely "hidden" --I kept walking past it even once I figured out where it wasw ande where to look. I would liked to have had a continental breakfast with the room--wouldn't have expected a big breakfast, but a continental one would have been nice. But for Euros 20 for the breakfast--it wasn't worth it to me. Grabbed something at the airport.

+ Good Hotel, Summer Special was a good rate. Breakfast was fantastic. Courtesy bus to and from Airport a bonus. On the weekends you can also get dropped off near the city as well. Recommended.

- Could possibly drop you closer to the city on weekends.

+ Only 5 minutes from airport; no plane noise. Free shuttle to/from airport. In the morning there were too many passengers. A cab was ordered to accommodate us without charge. Dinner was well prepared and presented.

+ I am very satisfied with my 3D/2N stay at Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Airport recently. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Further more, the Breakfast is also very good. The free airport shuttle is also being provided on very professional basis. Congratulation to Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Airport. + Comfortable, convenient to IBM and the airport. Liked the BBC TV. Room was clean and seemed well kept. The reception staff were very helpful.

- Quite expensive for a weekend stay. The breakfast was VERY expensive - 20 Euros and fifty cents! I had an orange from the reception and some leftover chocolate from my bag to keep me going until I could reach somewhere better. The barman was very grumpy and refused to split the bills properly. Strange.

+ The hotel was as good as I expected for the price

- The free shuttle service is appalling, it took me over an hour to get from the airport to the hotel by using it. The return to the airport was a little better but still is a 45 minute journey stopping and starting at various other hotels along the route. I flew from the UK to Holland in less time than it took to travel from AMS airport to the Mercure "Airport" Hotel. In my experience an "airport hotel" is usually close to an airport and quick and easy to get to and from. I will not be staying there again unless they change the shuttle service.

+ The staff as I checked in, were very helpful, clear in the information they gave, and welcoming. I was comfortable in my room, it was quiet and I had a very good rest.

- I am sure it would be hard to do anything about this, but I wished the shuttle bus to the airport was a little more frequent. I had to leave too early in the morning to get breakfast - I would have loved a way to have a cup of coffee before leaving.

- The shuttle bus was not properly marked. I missed it twice and spent in the bus station for a few hours until somepne told me I should not look for Mercure bus.

+ The room was comfortable and a good size. Excellent bathroom facilities. Pleasant service at front desk.

- The shuttle from the airport to the hotel took a long time to arrive. It was suppossed to arrive at 20:40 and we were there at that time but it did not arrive until 21:20, so there was a very long wait. The return to the airport in the morning was a lot better at 5:40 a.m. and it was on time!

+ We received a very good price by reserving our room online. The restaurant was very good and we had an excellent meal with fine service. We chose not to have the large buffet breakfast (E 16) but were given cappucino gratis. Ice machines were on every floor. The room was adequate and air-conditioned. A shuttle was on time and got us to the airport in less than a half hour, although it made several stops on the way.

- The bottom floor was all smoking. To get to our upstairs non-smoking floor we had to walk through a downstairs, very smelly long hallway that not only smelled like stale smoke but like raw sewage. It was not a good first impression. The upstairs hallways were much cleaner, although very worn.

- The lady at the fromt desk when we are checked out act really bad. No warm words and no receipt until we ask. Also, the guy in the restrant could attend our request for coffee, though we asked. We need to go another person to ask for coffee.
