Description

After you pass through customs you are in the secured transit area of Schiphol. There are several places to eat here and you can also do some tax-free shopping. The hotel staff speaks six languages. The hotel also offers business facilities such as internet, copy and fax amenities. The Mercure Hotel is a perfect accommodation if your flight is cancelled or delayed.

The non-smoking hotel offers 33 tastefully decorated rooms. All rooms have a rain shower, toilet, telephone, television and free wireless internet. Guests can use room service at an additional charge and via a request at the reception you can use the minibar

The hotel is located in Lounge 3, in the transit area. In order to reach the hotel from outside the airport you need to go to Terminal 3 and pass the customs between check in desks 22 and 23. This access closes after 21:30 h., but after this time guests can reach the hotel via the customs area in Departure hall 1.

Food and Drinks

Guests can order a room service breakfast or visit self-service restaurant BREAD! on the first floor. BREAD! is open 24-7. In the terminal at 30 metres from the hotel, lies East bar & Bites. This bar is open from 06:00 until 20:00 h.

Room was a good size and very comfortable.; - Had to go from arrivals back to airside and vice versa which was a bit of a minus point.

Anonymous A comfortable and convenient way to simplify early departures: 28 October 2011; 9.0; + It is very conveient to be able to stay at the airport, rather than near the airport. Early morning flight departures are much less stressful when there is no need for shuttle bus line-ups.; - Having to clear passport control in order to enter and leave the hotel caused some confusion.

Brian Screnar Deceived: 6 September 2011; 6.4; + Clean rooms and convenient location.; - Both your website and the literature in the rooms clearly advertises "FREE WIFI". Unfortunately, the hotel's free WIFI is only offered for an hour through the airport. This advertising is very deceptive and misleading. I would have never booked my room had I known the WIFI situation. Very poor taste. Additionally, the hotel staff was glib, rude and could care less about my time. They could not have been more UN-helpful with the WIFI situation. I could never recommend this hotel because of the misleading WIFI advertising and the rude service.

Really clean, comfortable - everything you would want from a hotel room in a couple of hours. Great location for ealy flights.; - Inside Customs area - so not much open late at night. Rather eat in Main Terminal BEFORE retiring for the night. But not a bad thing. tricky to get to after 8PM - as most Passport Control points are closed - but Airport Information is very helpful.

Anonymous: 21 January 2011; 7.4; + Situated at airport terminal, ideal for early departure flights; - Only soft-drinks available. In principle is this hotel meant for late arrival early departure. There is however no customs at terminal 3 at night. So you have to enter the terminal at terminal 1 and walk to terminal 3. This is absolutely unclear, no signs.

Louise High on silence, design and cleanliness: 16 October 2010; 7.6; + The room plus bathroom felt like we were in a boutique hotel and was incredibly well designed and clean, the bathroom in particular. It was also well soundproofed. Didn't hear a thing the whole time we were there. Bear in mind that if you have an early flight staff advise you to be out of the hotel, back through arrivals and checking in to departures before 5am to avoid the crowds from the transAtlantic flights which pour into Schiphol early in the morning.

Luciana The best choice in between flight connections: 24 September 2010; 9.4; + Excellent location for a night sleep in between flight conections. Do not need shuttle, in a few minutes after arrivel you can have a good shower and a night sleep. Clean, nicely decorated, everything you need for a good rest. I recommend it and would use it again whenever necessary.

Clean.; - Wi-Fi may be free, but it was not working and employee at front desk would do nothing to attempt to rectify situation despite at least 3 people complaining...would not even make a call to get technical assistance. Employee at front desk did nothing to stop two children from running and shouting in the hall at 22:30 just meters from the front desk. You pay a high price for convenience.

Deborah Mercure Schipol Airport - no signage at airport for hotel.: 29 August 2010; 8.2; + clean. Quiet. Lovely lady at reception.; - Poor lighting in room. Even tho' we showed a copy of our reservation to the lady at 'Hotel Shuttle info' at Schipol Airport, she directed us to the INCORRECT Mercure Hotel. She told us to get on a shuttle! This cost us 2 precious hours. Absolutely no signage for Mercure Hotel at Schipol airport - I think this is very, very poor. As it was our first visit to Amsterdam, we hoped to go into City Centre that evening, but due to incorrect info on hotel, we did not have time to do this. Very disappointing.

It is lacking in all amenities, the mattress sags, the A/C control is broken, there isn't even one stupid towel hook in the bathroom.; - Besides the above, the pitch to get more money from you never stops, in typical unrelenting dutch fashion: you must struggle through 5 layers of menus before you can simply watch CNN instead of being forced to pay for one of their premium/"adult" videos.
