Description

'Het Godshuis' means the House of God. The hotel combines past and present in a refined way. The great nineteenth-century monastery where the hotel is housed is a pretty picture to watch, with magnificent gardens around the hotel. Upon entry you will immediately notice the monumental entrance, again with respect for the original hotel features and a nice mix of classic and trendy. The high ceilings will impress and the beautiful interior gardens invite you to relax in the serene atmosphere. Hotel guests awaits a royal welcome, the staff in the hotel and restaurant will do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The charming rooms are equipped with modern features while the of beautiful ceiling beams have been preserved. The rooms have a luxurious bathroom with bath or shower and toilet. Furthermore the rooms have a hairdryer, minibar, air conditioning, coffee and tea making facilities, telephone, television with pay-TV and a safe. At the hotel bicycles can be rented. In the Beauty centre guests can book massages and beauty treatments.

The monumental building in St. Laureins has been thoroughly renovated and meets the current demands and wishes of guests. And there is more in store, as the hotel plans to add a bar, restaurant and wellness area.

A delicious breakfast is served every morning in the breakfast room between 07:00 and 10:00 h.
The hotel has an excellent culinary reputation and for lunch you can visit the restaurant Antonia's Brasserie. Master chef Frank de Wilde makes a every meal a culinary treat. Dishes are prepared with seasonal and fresh regional products. A wonderful dinner is served in the Brasserie as well. You can choose from several special menus or a la carte dishes and there is an extensive wine list to accompany the dishes. The restaurant is open from 12:00 till 22:00 h., the bar is open from 12:00 till midnight.

+ Erg schoon. Bijzonder gebouw,met historie. Flexibel personeel,goede service. Restaurant is van een goede kwaliteit. Kleine dingen zoals koffie/thee facciliteiten, airco en haarfohn geven je een luxe gevoel.
- Ietwat te zakelijk,weinig menselijke aandacht,afstandelijk daardoor.Verder perfect Het drinkwater uit de kraan had een grondlucht en ook de badlakens roken ietwat muf, maar of het hotel hier iets aan kan doen??

+ Restaurant heeft een goede kwaliteit. Ligging van het hotel is prima, van hieruit een goede kennismaking met Meetjesland.
- Bewegwijzering om het hotel is niet bepaald optimaal te noemen. Ze zijn nog met aanpassingen bezig maar deze onderdelen zijn zeer essentieel. Dame (Nederlandse) bij de ontvanst is te routineus en is er zich niet van bewust dat klanten belangrijker zijn dan zijzelf, zij is niet bepaald geschikt voor dit vak. De dame die de volgende dag dienst had maakte echter alles weer goed fris en fruitig en service gericht. De bar kan door een paar kleine veranderingen gezelliger gemaakt worden.

- hotel is nog lang niet af,geen tv ontvangst,geen bier op de tap,vele voorzieningen die in de folder vermeld staan zijn niet aanwezig
