Description
In the historic fortress town Sluis you can find Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant de Dikke van Dale. The name of the hotel is derived from a well-known Dutch dictionary, of which the composer was a former inhabitant of Sluis. This beautiful town lies in the region 'Zeeuws-Vlaanderen', near the Belgian border. A trip to the Belgian cities Bruges, Gent and Knokke can be easily achieved.
The hotel is established in a building that used to be a monastery. When the building was renovated the original façades were kept and a new addition, which suits the original architectural style, was built behind the façades. In the room you will have a television, safe, bath tub, toilet and a hair dryer. The hotel also offers excellent amenities for business meetings. The modern meeting rooms have air conditioning and audiovisual equipment is available on request.
During your stay you can enjoy some relaxation in the sauna, the steam bath or under the solarium. These facilities are available at an additional charge.
Food and Drinks
In the hotel you can enjoy the American breakfast buffet, which is available on weekdays from 07:00 to 10:30 h. and until 11:00 h. on the weekend.
The hotel offers a restaurant and a bar-brasserie. On the menu of 'Restaurant Johan Hendrik' are classical French dishes with a modern twist. Fresh ingredients and seasonal products are used in the preparation. You can enjoy lunch from 13:00 to 16:00 h. and dinner from 18:00 to 20:30 h.
'Bar-Brasserie De Bieb' is an atmospheric room, where you can read a book at the fireplace. Guests can order regional dishes or select on of one of the Belgian beers. The bar is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 16:00 h., on Wednesday and Sunday from 18:00 h. The bar is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
