Description
In the fortified town of Sluis you will find the cosy family pension Hof van Sluis in a side street of the centre and the shops, at just 20 metres from a bus stop. Sluis lies in the region of West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, near the Belgian border. A trip to the beach or the charming city of Bruges can easily be accomplished.
In the pension there are seven guest roomst,that vary from basic to luxurious. All rooms on the ground and first floor have been refurbished in 2010. In the private house, that is within walking distance, there are an additional 2 rooms, similar to the rooms at the pension. All guests can use the amenities at the pension. You can watch some television in the spacious salon, get a drink from the guest bar and make free use of internet in the communal area near the reception. The pension also offers a bicycle shed and parking facilities for motorcycles.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served in the pension for all guests daily.
The garden terrace is the ideal spot to enjoy a breakfast or a nice beverage on sunny days. The cosy bar is open from 16:00 to 21:00 h. If the staff is absent, guests may serve themselves. The pension does not have a restaurant, but many options can be found in the centre of Sluis.
Internet
The pension offers wireless Internet. However, it is not available in the rooms that lie farthest from the router. For those guests that don't have access in their room, the hotel offers a spot near the reception where they can make use of the free wireless Internet.
Other information
- The pension does not have a 24-hour reception. It is possible to check from 16:00 till 18:00 h. In case you would like to check-in after 18:00 h., you need to contact the reception in advance.
- In the pension guests can only pay with cash.

Surroundings
The charming centre of Sluis offers nice shops and restaurants. During a walk you pass by the city gates, the Belfort tower and the 14th century city ramparts. A bicycle ride along the dunes and to the nature reserve Het Zwin is truly recommended. The Belgian cities of Knokke-Heist and Bruges are easy to reach from Pension Hof van Sluis.
