After only 2 kilometres sailing from Buitenplaats 't Ges you reach the 'Snekermeer'. Every August the sailing event the 'Sneekweek' is held here. Sneek is also perfect for a lovely stroll around the city. The famous 'Waterpoort' (water gate), the city hall in Rococo style, and the 'Grote Kerk' church are the most prominent historic attractions of the city.

Very friendly welcome, by charming lady and her son. Kind service. Beautiful view. Comfortable and clean beds. Lovely breakfast.. Taking into account good breakfast included, price of stay for two people was good value. Lovely quiet night.

Poor lighting in corridors and rooms. No proper reading light at bedside. Tiny, really tiny bath towel! Room decor fair. Wonder if high price quoted initially deters guests, though with breakfast included, not as costly as it seems, especially for two people? We seemed to be the only people staying there and apart from two men at the bar, not much ambience.
