Ypres has a rich history. During WWI, Ypres was surrounded by the German army on three sides, but they did not manage to get past the British line of defence. East of the city lies the most visited monument of Ypres, the Menin Gate, that was built to commemorate the British soldiers that lost their lives here. Their names have been chiseled in the gate's walls.
The modern design of the hotel creates a link with the past of Ypres. The combination of old and contemporary details gives the hotel a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere.
The modern rooms, the captain and major room, have a private bathroom with a shower or bath, toilet, desk, wardrobe, a flatscreen television and a comfortable bed.
