The homely character of the hotel attracts both guests and local residents. All guest rooms have a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, television, telephone and a radio.
You can enjoy a wide array of activities, such as cycling, swimming or canoeing in the beautiful natural surroundings of De Roode Leeuw. For a fun day in the woods, you can choose between the national reserve De Hoge Veluwe, or cross the German border and visit Naturpark Hohe Mark.

Breakfast is served every morning from 06:30 till 09:30.
Restaurant De Roode Leeuw also has a lunch and dinner menu. You can enjoy the friendly service and creative dishes, in a homely atmosphere, between 11:00 and 21:00. The menu offers French/Dutch specialities and seasonal dishes, such as game in autumn and asparagus in May and June.
The café is open between 06:30 and 23:00 for a drink, combined with snacks, a slice of cake or dishes from the small menu. The tables covered with small carpets, the antique paintings and the curiosities give this bar its quaint and cosy atmosphere.

Surroundings
To get acquainted with the Achterhoek region, you can rent a bicycle at De Roode Leeuw's reception. Cycle along castle Wisch in Terborg, the Paasberg countryside and through villages such as Silvolde and Ulft. The recreational area De Koekendaal, a woody area between the towns of Doetinchem and Gaanderen, has a playing field and a children's petting zoo, which make for a fun day out with children. Or you can catch a train and go on a shopping spree in the city of Arnhem.
