These lovely old woods start in the city centre of Den Haag and stretch out to the bordering town of Wassenaar. The woods have a diverse flora and fauna.

Anonymous Bathroom design flaws.: 9 January 2012; 6.0; + Location Friendly Staff; - Bathroom wash basin too close to shelf. Difficult to clean teeth. Bath and shower taps difficult to operate. Soap dispenser not well positioned.

Joseph Dortwegt Excellent price, excellent location, excellent service: 15 August 2011; 9.8; + Very convenient to train station and metro - 32 minutes from Schiphol; and very convenient to Den Haag shopping and significant museums; also convenient to other points in Holland ( 52 minutes to Amsterdam central - at least 4 times per hour; Rotterdam via metro, 35 minutes 6 times hourly. Hotel staff very helpful; free internet; restaurant very accessible, good food and reasonable prices. No significant surprises (city tax added to bill in end, but that was communicated at initial reservation); - Room temperature variation was limited to a few degrees - for those liking colder rooms for sleeping, maybe a problem in summer only. Cost of telephone usage not fully communicated; perhaps that could be better organized. Although TV internet was made available for free, TV internet usage is clumsy. Also some complaint about lack of train and metro published schedules - but that's a complaint to public transportation system -trains provide lots of frequency, but it is not easy to figure out the network without a laptop.

Easy to walk to den Haag sights, museums, etc, and of course train to Amsterdam and Schiphol. Quiet room and very good bed, internet, TV.; - Carpet room 908 needs cleaning or replacement. Various items in room were not plugged in on arrival, like the TV, lamps. These simple things should be checked before a new guest comes in.

Anonymous Convenient short stay business hotel.: 12 August 2010; 8.0; + Right next to Central Railway Station in The Hague so only 30 mins by train from Schipol AIrport. The in-house "living room" restaurant is a good choice for eating in The Hague,; - Still a significant amount of construction work ongoing in the area surrounding the hotel.

Svetlana Novoselova Nice hotel, convenient location: 12 May 2010; 7.8; + hotel was oberbooked (standard rooms), so we've been upgraded for the bigger/betterroom; - all the taxes have to be included into the price, otherwise the rate per night is quite confusing - in Amsterdam all the hotels show the all inclusive rates, which is easier to inderstand when we stayed in this hotel previously (Sofitel) - the service was much better and the amenities in the room were much better

Firstly when we arrived, they couldn't see that we had booked a room. - We ordered breakfast the last day, but when we came to the restaurant, we were told that we didn't order it. By the time they had sorted it out we had to leave to catch the train. Bad service!

Location right next to train station a plus, yet the rooms were still silent. Staff was very pleasant. Would definitely stay there again or recommend.; - No wifi in rooms, and no business center (though ostensibly one could ask hotel staff to assist with printing, copying, etc.)

John Very Disappointed: 29 September 2009; 5.6; + Location is the main advantage. It is right beside central station - convenient access to the airport, Amsterdam and other Dutch cities - and also within walking distance of the main attractions.; - At present this hotel is a virtual building site. I was awoken each morning shortly after 7 am by the deafening sound of pneumatic drills. When I returned to my room at 6.30 there were workers on the balcony outside nosily going about their business. This is unacceptable and the hotel should have closed during this period.

Special price on workdays because of the huge construction site in front of the building.; - It was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I have ever slept in. Staff is not friendly. Mattress was old.

Alex Shakespeare Bed good, construction bad: 11 August 2009; 7.2; + Really nice bed, good location and breakfast was better than most. Friendly staff.; - Construction still going on outside so expect noise on weekdays. Quite hard to find amongst the construction.

PIETER VAN DER HEIDE: 11 August 2009; 4.8; + Central position; - Due to constrution difficult to find - Specific for our stay: the promised parking was not available, even though we called 1 hour prior to arrival. Cleaning unsatisfactory, hairpins from previous guests on night stand, dust, used waterbottle in fridge. When mentioning this at check-out there was no apology. I had to repeat that we did not appreciate the service level and then the desk attendant said "well my excuse Sir". We had to circle around the area three times for parking when arriving late.

Steen Bjerggaard A convenient hotel at a noicy place: 25 January 2009; 7.4; + The hotel is coveniently placed close to the Central Railwaystation. Rooms are OK and restaurant is good.; - The surroundings are for the time being a major construction site, so there is a lot of noice from 0650 to 1800.

This was a welcome change as we had just come from a much smaller room in Paris! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location extremely convenient - local cafes only a short walk away and of course right next to Den Haag CS. Nice outlook over park as well. Will definitely return again.; - A one-off problem with water pressure to the hotel..however, the staff dealt with the problem very quickly and to our complete satisfaction.

This is not a service that is provided by all hotels in which I stay, and as such, given the price some hotels charge for this service, is a definate plus point as it has the effect of lowering the overall price of the stay.; - No real minus points. A good hotel, and one that I would recommend.

The hotel is very clean and the beds are very comfortable....The hotel is located very close to shopping and eating.; - The hotel is in the middle of construction, thus parking on premise is not available. There is no set-up for in and out driving at the parking facility blocks away. The air conditioning was not working, thus the rooms got very hot during the day and night.
