- Baby friendly
- Very pleasant staff, only too happy to help with any request. The baby cot we had requested was not in our room when we arrived, but upon seeing the baby, the staff member at reception ordered one immediately and it was promptly delivered. High chairs were also available in the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast was delicious. Room was quiet. Very clean and comfortable.

- A few small additions to make things better
- The shower was wonderful. The cleanliness exceptional.
- There was no ice available on the floor and one had to go to the lobby bar each time. They would not supply anything to carry ice to your room.
There was no tea or coffee making equipment in the room.
You need at least one more free access computer in the lobby for guests to get on the web. One is NOT enough. There was always a long line for its use.

- Staff provided a bathrobe on request, even though it wasn't part of the services for the room / rate I occupied.
- Paying for water in the room, and no kettle to make tea - having to order, and pay for this, via room service.

- Great upscale value in the Centrum
- Close to everything in the centrum. 10 minute walk from Centraal Station, 5 minutes to shopping districts. Also sits on the square where most trams come through so easy to get around. 10 minute walk to the Noordeinde Palais and 20 mins on the tram to the Scheveningen beach community.
- Being centrally located also meant some noise, but not horrible, and we were fairly low on 3rd floor...not a big minus

- Overpriced Mercure Den Haag
- The location is excellent just 5 minutes from the train station. There is a tram stop in front of the Hotel. The hotel is just few steps from Den Haag shopping area with many cafes and restaurants all around.
- For the price we paid we could have stayed at a hotel in Schivenegen including breakfast. I was surprised for not having a coffee maker and slippers in our room!

- As always, excellent
- Very nice rooms, excellent shower. As always very good.
- Unfortunately at this moment the lobby and bar are refurbished, which makes the entrance look like a building site. But no disturbance at all from this activities.

- Good quality hotel with helpful staff
- I suffered from a painful abscess in my gum during the night my wife and I stayed at the hotel, but the member of staff at reception in the morning (Marco? Carlo?)was particularly helpful in identifying a hospital I could go to for treatment.
- There was temporary renovation work being done in the reception area that involved some noise and canvas covers being laid over the carpets, but it did not otherwise affect our stay.

- excellent
- Finally a hotel room where the lighting is very good. One can read a book in a chair and in bed without disturbing one's partner.
No atmospheric lighting that doesn't add anything to a room.
- smell of smoke is still lingering despite smoking ban since July 2008.

- Much better than expected.
- The room we stayed in had obviously been recently refurbished and it was lovely, especially the shower facilities.
- The only reason we have marked service slighty down is because we did have to wait a little too long for service in the bar during the afternoon and early evening.

- Bargain time
- Staff in reception and elsewhere were very good.
The bargain rate was extraordinary. We didn't realise when we made the booking that mid- to late August is Den Haag's holiday time : the city was half empty.
The hotel is no distance from the city centre, and VERY convenient for Hollands Spoor station: don't waste money on a taxi!
- There can be a rather a lot of noise from the street (trams, etc) and from 'events' in the square between the hotel and the city hall.
Breakfast is all right, but €19 is extortionate. (a) The staff are courteous and helpful, but basically the meal is self-service, not waiter service. (b) We still have to pay the full price, even if we only want a light meal. (If we were younger and not made slow by arthritis, we might have gone out into the city for breakfast.)
A comparison: I enquired at the London Euston Novotel last week: at this higher standard hotel in the Accor group a full breakfast is £14.50 and 'continental' £9.95 (about €18.30 and €12.50)
The rather small bar doubles as the "restaurant" in the evening. We didn't use it.

- The hotel staff are very professional and friendly. The room was excellent and we loved the Rain shower. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, with the station, tram links and shopping centre very close by, which is very useful if you do not have a car. The hotel is very clean with very nice decor. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely recommend the hotel to all our friends, and we hope to stay there again soon.

Bar staff were very polite, hotel had a relaxed atmosphere and the rooms were cleaned and made up every day
- Sadly on New Years Day and on the 2nd Jan, the ladies on the reception desk needed a lesson in Customer Service. this let the hotel down which was a great shame!

- Well refurbished. Well decorated. Modern fitments
- -Free pornography channel in the room! Please turn this off!
-Lobby was always so full of smoke because of the openness of the Bar directly onto the hotel reception area.
-Internet costs are ridiculosly high. 20 euros for 1 day! I rather went across the street to the Public library for 2 euros for the day!

- Very nice rooms with modern furniture, nice bathroom. Next to tram stops and within walking distance of city centre and railway stations.
- "One size fits all" policy. No possibility of having different blankets or pillows. The pillow was too big and the blanket to heavy (winter blanket). I had to remove the blanket from its cover every night and to use the blanket of the other bed as pillow. I asked for the manager and never had a reply/help. Front desk personnell very kind but of no help in this respect.

- The location.... The bathroom.
- The recepcionist was a complete incompetent, when I got there at check in I was told that my reservation was cancel some how and I was offerd a expensive room and only for one night...The hotel was full.... I called my credit card and they fixed for me....the hotel had plenty of vacants....I think the service was very poor...I do not know if I'll ever stay there again... Also very poor hygiene, the housekeeper needs to be trained again.

- However the staff were nice, the beds were really comfy the shower was great and the location was great.
- It was very noisy due to building works. The cleaners would hassle from early in the morning regardless of do not disturb signs and made a lot of noise in the hall. The lack of option of a smoking room was a bit annoying. . The weekend day reception girl when I was there was a bit rude although all the other staff were really nice. Generally a good stay.

- Staff friendly and helpfull
Furniture is in good condition and nice flat screen TV
- Good location but poor value for money. The breakfast was not included and for that price I think it could/should be included. There were sweet wrappers under my bed and no one had hoovered under there. The pillows are extreemly poor and being unable to sleep properly let the whole stay down. I will not be staying here again unless they get softer pillows.
Service in breakfast is not so good we had to eventually ask for some coffee. The breakfast is not worth 17 Euro I think that needs review.
The location is good but repeat business will be lost with those pillows. I stay in a lot of hotels and I am sorry but the pillows are the worst I have ever had.
