The staff were friendly and helpful, a very helpful girl at reception even found me a cell phone charger, when I lost mine. Breakfast is excellent, as are the dinners and snacks.

Tea/coffee in the room would be nice.

Enjoyable stay, curteous and friendly staff. We would stay again

The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and unpressurised. If we return to Oosterbeek we would certainly stay again.

On the Sunday evening our room was a little bit cold although we acknowledge that the weather generally had turned very cold the day previously. To be honest we wondered if the heating had been reduced because the hotel was much emptier after the Sunday when most people had left.

The rooms were very disappointing compared to rest of the hotel. They were dark and unattractive and, although I understand it is a relatively new hotel, the carpets were already looking shabby and there were stains on the ceiling. There was no air conditioning, no mini bar, no fridge, no tea/coffee making facilities, no bath robes, the door locks were broken so we were unable to lock them from the inside. We phoned reception about the locks and someone came up and said he was aware that the locks were broken but didn't seem very bothered. A hotel so close to major roads should have air conditioning so windows can be kept shut. Also when we opened the windows there were very strong smells of sileage and within seconds the room was full of flies, so we had to close the windows. There were also flies in the restaurant when we had breakfast and whilst some of the food was covered not all of it was. Very off putting. We sat on the balcony to eat breakfast and the cleaners were working around us which was also off putting. When I expressed my disappointment to the reception staff on checking out, the man just said the facilities I mentioned were only available in luxury rooms. I pointed out that the price we paid was a "luxury room" price and I have stayed in other hotels in Holland and Belgium with all those facilities at half the price.

A hotel with all the basics you need.

Good location as situated by the main railway station, also a walking distance to the city centre. Friendly staffs, good restaurant, comfortable room. It is idea for the business and other traveller.

Internet connection can be imporved and the charges to use the PC in the lobby is high which not suitable for using short time. Kettle in my room can not reach the plug while it is on the table.

Location, service and charm!

I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. my husband and I stayed for one night in the newest decorated rooms and they were very charming and classy. great location. Seeing as my husbamd had crutches with him and was still recovering after a knee surgery, the receptionist recommended a good room on the ground floor and which had an easy acess to the shower. Very good service and great location.

It was still some finishing touches on the room that could have been done properly, like missing lightbolbs, no remote control for the tv, dust in the corners of the room, missing drawers from the desk. It all gave us an impression that it looked superficially nice. But in fact there were many "little" things that should have been sorted better. Very cold room as weel. Facing the street. Not very good insolation. - toilet /bathroom was built in a box so it gave an impression of being in an "out-house".

Ok, but not very satisfactory

It is a very old and quaint hotel. Some improvement could be done, since I did not feel very comfortable upon entering the building. I felt rather unsafe. The room itself was ok, bathroom also. Within pricerange I would say it was alright.

Not a safe evironment and the whole building did not look very appealing to me. I was rather glad to be out of there.

The employees were always helpful and great. The location was awesome. We were able to get good help locating anything that we wanted. Our experience in the hotel made the trip to Amsterdam incredible. If we were to travel Amsterdam again we would stay at the NH Carlton.

Some things did not work in the hotel room. The safe, the do not disturb light. I was not offered to upgrade my room. My wife and I discovered that we had a superior room and for an additional 25Euro we could have had a deluxe. We found this out after we checked into our room.

staff extremely courteous and friendly; generous buffet breakfast with wide selection of items, served across a wide time span (6:30 am-10:30 am so it was conveniently accessible no matter what my plans. very, very clean. Good security (visitors must be buzzed in to the front door, keys must be left at the desk). Amenities like shampoo, soap and shower caps provided (this was not the case in other hotels I stayed at nearby). Coffee, tea, etc. made available in the room. Extra blanket and pillows provided automatically. Heat adjustable by room.

I have stayed there three times (three different rooms). IN one room, the toilet has an odor.....I have experienced this also at the nearby hospital, so I think it may be a problem of the sewer system, and not the hotel's fault. It certainly was not from a lack of cleanliness....the hotel and bathroom was spotless!

There was an overwhelming feel of 'end of season' with everything shutting down. Wouldn't like to have the same bedroom (1) should the outdoor cafe be in use. The room was pleasant, but in need of some renovation. Definitely not made for today's business professionals with regard to lighting. TV also too small.

Restaurants and Bistro Bar were very impressive. Good food and good atmosphere and music in the Bistro Bar.

The bedroom blocks spoiled the quality of the hotel. Would not give the hotel 4 stars due to the lesser quality of the bedrooms. The bedroom and the beds were poor. Bedding/covers smelled. Not convinced that the bed covers had been cleaned recently.

The hotel is located in a very charming location in the countryside with easy access (by car) to Arnhem, the Openlucht museum and the Hoge Veluwe parks. The rooms are spacious and the hotel grounds are very welcoming. The hotel has an indoor pool open until late in the evening. Reception staff was very polite and efficient.

The rooms are fairly old. Hygiene standards were low - the room was not properly cleaned, spoilt milk was served at breakfast as was an old fruit salad. Overall, breakfast room staff and housekeeping were of a relatively poor standard, not worthy of a 4 star hotel.

Stylish hotel that doesn't quite live up to expectations.

We had a lovely room and the food was fabulous. The château is in a lovely setting which has been beautifully restored and modernised.

On arrival there was a dirty wine glass in the room and one of the bedside lights did not work. This was not rectified during our stay. When we returned on the second day towels had not been refolded, dirty glasses were left by the bed and a dead wasp remained on the windowsill. We raised these points on leaving and were informed the manager would contact us - 4 days later I am still waiting. After spending over 500 Euros on a two night break I expect better.

Fantastic in all respects. een prachtige lokatie , mooi restaurant enz ,het gevoel van luxe over het algemeen héél vriendelijke bediening vooral de juffr die de ontbijten verzorgde ..

bij ons avonmaal in het restaurant ( er waren 22 personen in het totaal aanwezig ..) liep het toch wel een beetje in het honderd ... we moesten zelf om brood en boter vragen , alsook peper en zout waren niet aanwezig ... de deur van de wijnkoeler werden door de kelner ook met het achterste van zijn voet dicht gestampt ...kleine deatails die op dit niveau niet mogen gebeuren ... Waarschijnlijk te jong personeel zonder controle ... Het bokkepootje was opgevuld met SURIMI Krab ... jammer voor die prijsklasse ... Het is er ongelooflijk genieten , mooie borden , héél mooie presentatie maar enkele schoonheidsfoutjes die door ervaren restaurantbezoekers storend gaan werken . Voor ons géén probleem wij komen nog wel eens langs maar dit zijn toch enkele opmerking die U als management hoort te weten . Graag tot binnenkort
