Description
At the edge of the historic woods 'De Oude Waranda' stands the characteristic mansion in which hotel-restaurant Auberge du Bonheur is located. De Oude Waranda is a beautiful country estate from 1712, laid out by the Lord of Tilburg and inspired by the gardens of Versailles. Since 1986 this building has functioned as a restaurant, and added a hotel in 1997.
The fact that guests primarily come here for the restaurant testifies to the high level of cooking and dining the excellent kitchen has to offer. The kitchen is therefore often used to cater for parties and other sorts of gatherings. The hotel has four bikes, which can be rented out at a charge of €10 per day.
The luxurious hotel rooms are all uniquely designed and have a warm and rural character that beautifully complements the surroundings. All rooms have box spring beds with an extra pillow and blanket, as well as a bathroom with a bath and toilet. These luxurious rooms are also equipped with a telephone, television, mini bar, safe, coffee and tea making facilities, and a hair dryer.
Hotel Auberge du Bonheur is perfect for those who enjoy walking and biking; the woods 'De Oude Waranda' is very special because of its age. The impressive centuries-old trees will make you feel as if you have gone back to the 17th century. The centre of Tilburg is ideal for those who enjoy shopping, nightlife, or a visit to a museum.
