+ Location. Fairly large rooms with everything, also bathroom, in good working condition.

- No safe in room. Disgusting way staff handles food at breakfast counter. I was overcharged on checkout and it took some time, and no apology, before clerk was able to produce the correct bill.

+ Although a busy/noisy weekend we were not too disturbed by the celebration noises (Queens Weekend). Upgrade and quiet location of room was much appreciated. Great location in centre of city.

- Were not made aware that we were inclusive of breakfast until we asked. Not easy to get to reception from car park. Lights in room a little hard to locate off switch. No free wifi in room especially for the price we paid. Was overpriced for 2 nights - car parking on top of hotel price!!!! Nearly £350 for 2nights for 2 people little too highly priced!!!

+ perfect location in hte middle of centre! Clean rooms.

- At check in, lady at the counter forced me to pay for next day breakfast, said it was policy during the festival i attented. Fortunately next day the new lady booked my money back. 120Euro a night was a bit too much for size of room.

+ Staff were all very helpful and friendly! We got upgraded to a superior room when we arrived which was a lovely treat after a long journey. The room itself was very well equipped and quite high-tech. The shower was amazing! Overall an excellent hotel at a great price. :)

- The room was a bit cold but we didn't mention it at the time and I'm sure if we had it would have been fixed.

+ The rooms are a nice size and appear to be well maintained. There were no unusual odors in the room and the bed was of medium firmness. The restaurant was actually fantastic with conscientious service, quality food, and superb presentation.

- Unfortunately, this hotel is LOUD and the staff seem to do everything in their power to ignore the problem. I confirmed with the hotel twice that I had been assigned a quiet room away from the street, yet my room was right on the street. Requests to the staff to be moved were met with absolute rudeness. Perhaps more distressing are the 7 watt bulbs in the few lights. They provide no more light than candlelight - good luck putting on makeup or finding anything in your suitcase (is this sweater black or red?). Finally, the bill was incorrect, even though the correct rate was cited at check-in. Good thing I had brought along my confirmation email because they refused to change the rate without it.

+ All hotel staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Of special note, Judith at the front desk was exceptionally accomodating, personable, and sincere. Her smile is most inviting, her English was impeckable and hugely appreciated as my Dutch is quite lacking! Suzanne, the woman in charge of our room, 405, was a delight as well. She retrieved me an "old" pillow after the new ones were installed when I found them not as comfortable as the ones we had the first night! The hotel was immaculate and a joy to stay in for convenience to shopping, eating and the train. It provided a great meeting place for our rather large party celebrating my brother's wedding! And how wonderful for you to plan a party on the plein the second night we were there! It was a chance for us to experience an authentic Dutch gathering, enjoying popular music that was known to all ages. Thank you all for a most spectacular vacation experience. I would recommend your hotel to anyone!

- While the location was so very convenient for many things, being so very close to the bars that remain open until 2:00 and then 4:00 am, the noise was rather loud and while closing the window did help tremendously with that, the room was then too warm for sleeping. Being someone who does not particularly like air conditioning, I would have liked the option to have a fan in my room which, I just realized, I never asked for!!! Is that an option? Or you could offer earplugs! Perhaps this information would be good to let folks know in advance to making their reservation.

+ Again, the location was perfect for our needs. We were in town for my brothers wedding and the party was in Tilburg, plus my nephew lives in Tilburg.

- Because of being so centrally located it was very loud at night. This made sleeping rather difficult, since we needed to have the windows open for cooler air.

+ The location is excellent, but noisy. The staff are friendly and helpful.

- Much noise from outside. The room was too warm, the window could not be opened any further because of the noise. Breakfast was minimal for the price. There was no cereal.

+ Big room. Good location.

- Hotel had lots of scaffolding and was very noisey just outside my window. Breakfast buffet was expensive but not very well replenished so no bowls for cereal, no tea, etc. For nearly 15 Euros would expect better. Corridor very noisey too - lots of door slamming.

- Well the hotel was in construction, so it was building from 07h till 17h30!!!!!! 1- We didn't receive any other answer than sorry. It happen to me before with another hotel, and they offer us the breakfast free of charge in compensation! 2 - They say I had to contact Mercure company for the miles on my Air Berlin Top Bonus Card, because they do not have the machine???

+ Except for the initially surly check-in services, the staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The restaurant providing room service had some surprisingly good food. We loved being within a stone's throw of a long street of shops, and the familiarity of a McDonald's. The elevator to the 5th floor was handy. Great view of the square from both suites.

- We requested a non-smoking suite nearly a month in advance, but the staff waited until the day of our arrival (we were in an airplane, DUH!) to send an email saying that their suites were smoking rooms and would we "like a standard room or no room at all?" No financial apology was made. Travelling with kids, we opted for the suite (which didn't seem TOO smoky), but by the 5th day, my asthma made it uncomfortable to come back to the room each night.

+ The hotel is set in a very nice area with plenty of shops and bars locally, all the people we met were very friendly and the ease to get to the hotel was very good. This was my first visit to Holland and i was very impressed i will be visiting again.

- During my stay it was very hot unfortunately there were no cooling fans in the rooms, and due to the near by church the window could not br left open.

- Eiskalte Lobby am Vormittag. Wir wollten uns eine halbe Stunde zusammen setzen, um etwas zu besprechen. Brrr. Am Abend spät das Zimmer bezogen. Die Heizungen waren alle abgedreht, es war sehr kalt. Der Blick ins Parkhaus (direkt vor dem Fenster) ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ich wähle kein Zimmer mehr auf dieser Seite.

+ Goede ligging midden in de stad, prima bed, erg fijne badkamer, kamer goed uitgerust met snufjes enzo.

- We misten een te openen raam op de kamer, en een koffiezetapparaat op de kamer is erg leuk maar de koffie en thee die eruit komt is echt niet lekker. Verder waren we erg verbaasd dat de zondagkrant die aan onze deur hing een gekopieerd velletje met het nieuws van zaterdag bleek te zijn.
