The Eburon Hotel - Hampshire Classic opened its doors in July 2008 and is established in the former St. Jacobs inn that originates from the 12th century. This inn used to function as a shelter for travelling pilgrims. The architects that were responsible for the renovation have succeeded to combine ultra modern architecture with the authentic features from the Middle Ages, which has resulted in a very special atmosphere. The Eburon Hotel is therefore an ideal base for a business or tourist trip to the oldest city of Belgium.

Surroundings
Tongeren was founded by the Romans who built a fortress there round about the beginning of the first century. This makes Tongeren the oldest city of Belgium, where a lot of Roman remains can still be found. Before the Romans, the area was inhabited by the Eburons. The name of The Eburon Hotel - Hampshire Classic is derived from that. With Tongeren as a base, day trips to cities such as Maastricht and Hasselt, which both have a rich history as well, can easily be accomplished.
